🚨 Not All Heroes Wear Capes Our 24/7 Emergency Response in Action   A good story coming out of this week from our Infrastructure Team, led by Dean McLaughlin. InterGroup is proud to be supporting Rucon Limited with protective coatings work as part of their refurbishment project at AIA Smales Farm. So far, we’ve been involved in blasting structural steel to enhance its longevity and maintain the integrity of the structures. We’re now progressing with the painting and repair of the staircases. WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY Employed adults spend more time working than any other activity during their waking hours. At its best, work can provide a livelihood and be a source of meaning, purpose, and joy. However, for too many people, work falls far short of its potential. In recent MATES research, 'Workplace psychosocial stressors in the construction industry: Perspectives of construction industry stakeholders – supported by BRANZ, funded by the Building Research Levy', interviews of industry workers identified five key stressors and potential solutions to these stressors. And despite ongoing challenges, there is optimism as cultural change is evident, with increasing discussions on mental health and wellbeing in the sector.
