#ap2 #climateandcompany #ESGData #DueDiligence #Deforestation #SustainableFinance #COP16 #Biodiversity
🌳 Deforestation Due Diligence is challenging for financial institutions - how can we make their life easier? The problem is not the data - all the data that financial institutions need to identify deforestation in their portfolios is out there. So far, it was just very resource-intensive for financial institutions to use this data. 👉To respond to this challenge, we sat together with our partners Andra AP-fonden (AP2) and Global Canopy to create a step-by-step guide that makes life easier for financial institutions to use the data available. 💡Our new guide includes - a practical step-by-step approach to make deforestation-related data actionable and due diligence more efficient for financial institutions - an online code repository with an open-source dataset that financial institutions can use and adapt based on their portfolio 🌍 Just three months ahead of the UN Biodiversity Conference COP16, this is the guide for financial institutions to make sustainable finance work in practice. ➡ Have a look at our press release: https://lnkd.in/eYQQfspK ➡ Download the full guide for financial institutions here: https://lnkd.in/eGu3WGQw ➡ The open-source online code repository on GitHub is here: https://lnkd.in/ef5rJfAP 👉Intrigued? This summer, we will host free online workshops to walk you and your institution through the methodology to tackle deforestation due diligence. ✍️Please reach out to our Senior Analyst Malte Hessenius and schedule your session.
