#Wellness begins with the people around us; the connections we've forged, and the communities we continue to walk with. This July, together with Singapore Tourism Board, we embarked on a month-long exploration of wellness at Wellness Festival Singapore 2024 in the best way we know how: with #community and music! 🌟 Facilitated by our friends from The Happiness Initiative, Mindful Mingle brought together neighbours and friends from all walks of life for two afternoons of heartfelt conversations and discovering new ways to nurture our mental well-being and resilience. 🎶 Let’s Jam filled the Plaza Singapura courtyard with the joyous sounds of local talent, bringing communities across different backgrounds, ages, and abilities together, and creating new bonds and memories through the common love of music. Thank you Tri-Sector Associates for having us at Catalytic Impact Studio 2024! We had the privilege to share with a curated group of 17 organisations some of our work and #learnings as a #socialimpacthub. We discussed how we can push the norm of what #collaborations could look like in the #philanthropy space and also shared our perspective on behalf of Temasek Trust as an Outcomes Amplifier Funder on the Family Empowerment Programme (FEP) we embarked on with Tri-Sector Associates, Standard Chartered, and AWWA Ltd. “After four years of honing barista skills and baking cookies, Jerome Wong – a person with disabilities (PWD) – was promoted from barista to supervisor at Foreword Coffee Roasters’ (FCR) Temasek Shophouse outlet, and then to cafe trainer.” Jerome is no stranger to us, we see him running the Foreword Coffee Roasters outlet at Temasek Shophouse day in, day out. His growth is so remarkable and it truly reflects when PWDs are given the opportunity and #nurturing space to grow, they too can reach greater heights. Social enterprises like Foreword Coffee that are scaling up to provide more employment opportunities to PWDs hold significant importance for us as a social impact hub.
