UM Impact Day Activity 2024 IG Square / UM Pakistan's team visited SOS Children’s village in Karachi on Thursday, July 18, 2024 to celebrate UM's Global Impact Day initiative where all UM offices across the world serve their respective communities. SOS Children’s village is an orphanage house for welfare of children who are deprived of their natural parents. The idea of SOS Children's Village is to place orphans in an environment as close to a natural home. SOS Children's Villages meet this need by providing them with loving care, security, higher education, and job training. This allows them to live normal lives, and a sense of confidence is instilled in them that develops their full potential. Team members of IG Square / UM Pakistan were given warm welcome by the staff of SOS Village and Dean has conducted a detailed orientation session informing the objectives of SOS village and what it is doing for orphans since last 40 years in Pakistan. IG Square / UM Pakistan ‘s team also visited different houses of children and had conversations with group of children, played few games and finally serve 160 children with scrumptious lunch alongwith campus staff. IG Square / UM Pakistan also donated ceiling fans and distributed special stationary boxes for Children of SOS village. IG Square / UM Pakistan team assure SOS Children’s village that as part of UM global initiative, we will remain committed to serve our communities in whatever manner we can in the future. #UMImpactDay #UMBetterWorld #IG2 #umpakistan #sosvillage

Yesterday, we celebrated our seventh global #UMImpactDay by collaborating with amazing LGBTQIA+ owned businesses such as Kai By Mangi, Dopamore, Arttitty, Sabarshh, Ash.Co, Embarque.co, Queergaon, Astitva Jewelry, Podi Nan Maga, and Scoby Labs. The response was overwhelming, with IPG Mediabrands India agencies thronging the stalls and showing incredible support. As our CEO Aditi Mishra summed up, “Impact Day is a powerful reminder of how our collective efforts can drive meaningful change and create a better world for everyone.” Truly, an IMPACT-FUL Day! One Day, One UM, One Better World. We are thrilled to share highlights from #UMImpactDay across #APAC! In our seventh global Impact Day, the region came together to support the #UMBetterWorld pillar of Equity – focusing on addressing the unique needs of individuals, groups, and organizations and aligning with our overall #DEI commitment to partnering with underrepresented groups in APAC. Our local teams led initiatives that were close to their hearts, including (but not limited to) fundraisers for domestic abuse organizations, providing educational supplies and organizing field days for autistic children, partnering with LGBTQIA+-owned businesses to showcase and sell their products, and hosting talks on internet safety for children. Embracing the theme of equity, we gathered secondhand books from our colleagues to donate to "SPbook", a wonderful association in Taiwan. SPbook will convert the value of these books into book credits, which will be donated to schools in remote parts of Taiwan.
