Beyond Kenya, the investment opportunities in East Africa. 🌍 Kenya is undoubtedly an incredible country, consistently attracting substantial private equity and venture capital investments over the years, a trend that shows no signs of slowing down. However, other East African countries are also gaining traction. Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda are emerging as increasingly attractive markets for investors. A recent article by Acumen sheds light on why investors should start to explore opportunities in these countries and not restrict themselves to Kenya. Some of the most interesting prospects for investment and growth in East Africa are listed below. Zembo (Uganda): electric motorcycles to transition the country to green transportation. 🚲⚡ Ensibuuko (Uganda): digital financial services for the underserved, in particular in rural communities. 💳 JALI Finance (Rwanda): financing services and credit for 'revenue generating assets'. 📊 NALA (Tanzania): digital payments and international money transfers to Africa. 📲💵 Numida (YC W22) (Uganda): working capital and credit solutions for small businesses. 💼 Y9 Microfinance (Tanzania): digital financial inclusion for the underserved and unbanked. 📈 SOUK FARMS (Rwanda): production and aggregation of horticultural products for export. 🧑🌾 Unique opportunities for impactful investment exist across the region and a wide range of sectors. The future of East Africa is bright. #Investment #EastAfrica #Fintech #EmergingMarkets

Today, alongside our CEO- Gerald Otim, one of our Directors- Philip Oucor and Tim Chesire, we had the privilege of visiting one of our Refugee-Urban Savings Groups in Nsabya, Kampala. This incredible group has been using our #platform for 3 years now. Through their dedication and resilience, they have significantly grown their savings, which has empowered them to uplift their standards of living and create a more secure future for themselves and their families. Witnessing their journey firsthand was both humbling and inspiring—a powerful reminder of the impact we can make together. This is what drives us every day: seeing lives changed, dreams realized, and communities thriving. #USLAs #FinancialInclusion #Digitization #Impact #FacilitatingLastMileBanking
