Earlier this month, planning permission was granted for the construction of 5 industrial units at Beechwood Industrial Estate, Llandeilo. Acstro is proud to have been appointed as the transport planning consultant for this project, developing a comprehensive Transport Statement and Travel Plan to support the planning application. This approved scheme is a collaboration between Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government and Carmarthenshire County Council, aimed at delivering versatile hybrid business spaces tailored for various employment purposes. This initiative aligns with the Welsh Government’s ‘Property Delivery Plan’ and supports Carmarthenshire County Council’s 'Moving Rural Carmarthenshire Forward Strategy' and the '10 Towns Initiative.' As a Llandeilo based business we’re excited to contribute to the growth and development of our community! #Acstro #TransportPlanning #CommunityDevelopment #Carmarthenshire #BusinessGrowth #Sustainability Image: Roberts Limbrick

We're thrilled to learn that our client, Innova , has received planning approval from Cotswold District Council for a new solar farm near Fairford. This 19.8ha project will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 2,700 homes, making a significant positive impact on the environment. Acstro played a key role in the planning application, providing a comprehensive Constructed Traffic Management Plan that includes a suite of measures to ensure safe site access and minimise disruption to the local highway network during construction. This project aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainable development and innovative solutions. Congratulations to Innova on this important milestone! #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #SustainableDevelopment #TransportPlanning #TrafficManagement

We're thrilled that the Welsh Government has granted approval for Manmoel Wind Farm near Ebbw Vale! Acstro was proud to support our client, CENIN, in securing this Development of National Significance (DNS). Our team played a key role in planning the delivery routes for the massive components of the turbines, including the impressive 73m long blades, and conducted a thorough assessment of the environmental impacts during construction and beyond. This development will see five 180m (590ft) wind turbines that will provide enough clean, renewable energy for over 20,000 homes, marking a significant step toward a greener future! 🌍💡 #RenewableEnergy #WindPower #Sustainability #GreenEnergy #CleanEnergy #Acstro #Cenin

"The appeal is allowed...." Delighted for our clients whose appeal against refusal of planning permission for their proposed self-build homes has been allowed. Located off a narrow lane, our submissions persuaded the Inspector that the Council's reasons for refusal over the sub-standard nature of the lane and inadequate visibility from the development access were not valid. Thanks also to Richard Banks of Evans Banks Planning Ltd

It's been a year since we moved into our new office and we love being part of the vibrant and varied business commumity that's developed at Yr Hen Farchnad, #Llandeilo. Providing quality office space in market towns is a massive boost to the economy of those towns and (with our transport planning hat on) means that we residents don't have to commute by car to access comparable office space in larger towns or cities. Congratulations to Carmarthenshire County Council and TRJ - T Richard Jones (Betws) Ltd on delivering this fantastic development. https://lnkd.in/gy-awuPH

Delighted to learn that planning permission has been granted for the redevelopment of the Hendrewen Hotel, Blaencwm, Treorchy. The development by Martin Roberts - Property Expert includes refurbishment and extension of the existing hotel building to provide a bar, restaurant and new kitchen facilities. A new block will accommodate a village store at ground level and 6 rooms as tourist accommodation above. The site has no off-street parking and concerns were originally raised that the parking demand generated by the scheme could cause problems on surrounding street. Acstro Ltd undertook a series of parking surveys to demonstrate that there was ample spare capacity available to safely accommodate the expected parking demand.

It’s been a pleasure to work on this project and we’re looking forward to see the redevelopment of the school take shape
Approval! We are thrilled to announce that we have secured #planningpermission for the redevelopment of Portfield School! This project will include the demolition of the existing Portfield Lower School, a comprehensive masterplan for the campus, and the construction of a new primary school building. The application was validated on May 9th and reported to the planning committee in less than seven weeks (!). The application was unanimously approved by the #PembrokeshireCountyCouncil planning committee last week with no pre-commencement conditions. This is a fantastic achievement that allows the team at Morgan Sindall Construction to mobilise ahead of the school holidays and make significant progress on site. A big shout out to our dedicated and professional design team for their invaluable assistance and to Mark Hyde and David Popplewell at PCC, who have been a pleasure to work with throughout the pre-application, PAC, and live application phase. This project exemplifies how the planning system can operate efficiently when everyone is fully committed. Great result, team!
