As Japan’s number one beer, Asahi Super Dry believes in challenging conventions and reimagining traditions - in beer, rugby and culture. The successful partnership with Rugby World Cup will continue through a long-term commitment as Official Beer and Principal Partner of all tournaments until 2029, including Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 and Australia 2029 as well as Men’s Rugby World Cup Australia 2027. The three-tournament partnership with World Rugby will see Asahi Super Dry foster a cross-culture activation platform that showcases rugby like never before, bringing intrigue and a fresh perspective to rugby fans around the globe. Asahi Europe & International CEO Paolo Lanzarotti said: “We are excited to renew our partnership with World Rugby and extend our support of Rugby World Cup. It is particularly exciting for us to support the women’s game, which is going from strength to strength with the global women’s rugby’s fanbase projected to grow by over 70 per cent by 2033. The social occasion of a Rugby World Cup is the perfect platform for the Asahi Super Dry brand and we look forward to offering fans unique opportunities to experience the game like never before.” #RWC2025 #RWC2027 #RWC2029 #DrinkResponsibly Rugby World Cup World Rugby

Diversity is fun – especially if you work for a brewer with traditions dating back almost 180 years! 🍻 Last week Employee Resource Groups at Asahi UK joined forces and hosted a quiz night at the Griffin Brewery. Held at the atmospheric Hock Cellar, the event tested our colleagues’ general knowledge, awareness of various topics around diversity, and skills at pouring a perfect pint of cask ale. It was a great example of how ‘edutainment’ approach can bring the DE&I agenda to life and help create meaningful connections. My Employee Resource Group, the Global Pints Society, led a geography round (not surprisingly!) during which we tried to bring closer the perspective of foreign nationals working for Asahi in the UK and show how our ERG supports colleagues of various backgrounds. Personal highlight? Seeing terrified faces of our office-based colleagues tasked with pouring a perfect pint of London Pride in the bonus round – we all learned something new that night! #DEI #WeAreAsahi #ERG

This feels like a pretty significant, symbolic moment for our sustainability journey at Asahi UK. The race to Net Zero by 2040 is on and it’s electric!
We are very excited to introduce a new addition to the distribution fleet, our first fully electric dray. Not only does this mark a significant step on our Net Zero 2040 journey but it will help provide cleaner, quieter streets for communities across London. Check out the short vlog below, from our Sustainability Manager, Sam Goodenough, when he joined it on it's maiden delivery run for #CaskAleWeek. We believe that heritage and legacy go hand in hand and traditional ale delivered in the trucks of the future is a great example of that.
