Julian Lipscombe completely agree! Kudos to Department for Business and Trade British High Commission in India! So well coordinated by Ashita Agnihotri Rishikesh Chanda anil velde and Mukul Verma
UK:INDIA LOW CARBON BUILT ENVIRONMENT TRADE MISSION There's no other word for it - the week so far has been 'brilliant'. So many insightful, inspiring, encouraging and useful conversations with so many groups and individuals in Mumbai and Delhi. And we're still not finished, having just arrived in Kolkata for the final round of meetings and presentations tomorrow. Huge thanks to the team from British High Commission in India and Department for Business and Trade for organising the whole mission. Arrangements have been mind-bogglingly involved at times but faultlessly achieved every step of the way. Individual thanks to the very wonderful Ashita Agnihotri, Rishikesh Chanda, Mukul Verma, anil velde and Julie Godefroy - the finest of hosts. It feels so good to have the proactive support of the UK Government in stimulating international business and for our practice to be able to represent our profession, industry and country on such a stage. Thanks also to my fellow delegates Eleni Polychroniadou, Will Campion, Amit Bhave, Ashish Deshpande, Aditya Khandekar, Gordon Rates, Bawesh Pradhan, Mithi Dave, Shrikant Sharma and Pranoy Koul. It's been a great pleasure to be in your company for the last few days (feels like longer but in a really good way!!). Looking forward to rounding off the trip with you in style tomorrow!! India is such a wonderful and exciting country. We at Bennetts Associates hope to do a lot more here in the years to come..... watch this space #BritishHighCommissionIndia #UKDepartmentofBusinessandTrade #India #BennettsAssociates

UK:INDIA LOW CARBON BUILT ENVIRONMENT TRADE MISSION Well - that’s a wrap for the trade mission. How can I sum it up? I’ll have to add another word to the one that I used in my last post on the subject - this week has been ‘ABSOLUTELY brilliant’. Kolkata more than delivered - no wonder it’s known as ‘The City of Joy’. An incredibly warm welcome from everyone we met, inspiring engagement on the potential of collaboration and a captivating cityscape to experience. And all of this in the delightful company of our travelling party - most of us new to each other at the start of the week but now firm friends (and able to do each others’ presentations). Hard work but also a hell of a lot of fun. Thank you to those on the Kolkata leg of the tour - British High Commission in India, Department for Business and Trade, Ashita Agnihotri, Rishikesh Chanda, Julie Godefroy, Will Campion, Eleni Polychroniadou, Amit Bhave, Gordon Rates, Bawesh Pradhan and Sankha Deep And a big thanks to #India too - what a country!!

A privelege to have been a part of, representing our practice and the UK
Strengthening UK-India Collaboration on Digital & Green Construction NITI Aayog hosted a strategic engagement with UK Government representatives, led by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the British High Commission (BHC), alongside key stakeholders from Indian ministries. The discussions focused on advancing Digital Construction Technologies, Smart City Innovations and Green Infrastructure Solutions. Key focus areas included the adoption of sustainable building materials, energy-efficient construction practices and data-driven project management solutions. The collaboration also explored opportunities to enhance urban sustainability, modernize existing infrastructure and facilitate a net-zero carbon transition. This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation, fostering investment, encouraging technological exchange and driving climate-resilient development for a sustainable future. #PMOIndia #NITIAayog #UKIndiaCollaboration #DigitalConstruction #SmartCities #GreenInfrastructure #NetZero #SustainableDevelopment #UrbanTech #EnergyEfficiency #SmartCitySolutions #ClimateResilience Narendra Modi | Rao Inderjit Singh | Suman K. Our director James Nelmes is featured in the March issue of Higher Education Estates magazine, discussing the Edinburgh Futures Institute and decarbonising education estates. James discusses how with many existing university estates made up of old and in some instances heritage buildings, attention is shifting increasingly to how to bring them up to standard. To do this, steps must be taken to provide the most thorough and accurate analysis, which is where a robust methodology comes to the fore. 📖 Read more about the transformation of the Edinburgh Futures Institute and Bennetts Associates’ methodology approach to design that ensures long-term resilience, creating well loved spaces for the exploration of ideas. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ew2Rm_2J #EducationDesign #Architecture #DecarbonisingEducationEstates
