Our role includes attending design team meetings, reviewing and issuing the health and safety file, and compiling monthly CDM compliance reports. 🏆🏆 We are delighted to share that Cherry Hinton Community Hub and the Meadows Community Centre were winners at the Greater Cambridge Design and Construction Awards 2025! calfordseaden provided Clerk of Works, Employer’s Agent, and Quantity Surveying services for the Cherry Hinton Community Hub, which won in the 'Best Refurbishment under £3m' category. The project transformed an old library into a child-focused new library space, alongside new community facilities and a café. For the Meadows Community Centre, winner of the 'Best Building over £3m' category, we provided Clerk of Works and Employer’s Agent services. This vibrant space offers a range of facilities for local residents, including dance and recording studios, a café, and toddler's nursery. ✅ Great to see the completion of the new social rented homes at Mountbatten View in Hemel Hempstead! calfordseaden provided Employer's Agent services for the construction of 58 one-and two-bedroom homes, six of those wheelchair accessible, across three residential buildings. The sustainability-driven development also includes electric vehicle charging points, landscaped garden facilities, a play area, secure cycle storage, and improvements to the nearby wildlife area and woodlands walk. With individuals and families now moving in, we hope these homes provide a strong foundation for local residents for many years to come! calfordseaden is providing multi-disciplinary services for Merrick Place, a mixed use Joint Venture development in Southall. The project will consist of 575 new homes across four residential buildings, ranging from height between 15-23 storeys. Each building will also feature commercial space on the ground floors and will be linked by public realm and amenity podium spaces. Our Employer’s Agents and Cost Consultants have been involved in this scheme since November 2016, supporting the project through the design process and advising on feasibility cost planning and the procurement of a Joint Venture Partnership. Throughout the project, we have also provided BIM Consultancy, CDM Advisor, Party Wall, and Principal Designer services. Recently, some the precast concrete panels were delivered to the site and installation has commenced.
