The Northwick Park development will deliver up to 1,600 residential homes, student accommodation, teaching facilities, sports facilities, retail, commercial space, a replacement nursery, an energy centre, and other associated works. During the development of a combined planning application, calfordseaden was appointed to provide Health and Safety Consultancy, Project Management, Employer’s Agent, and Quantity Surveyor services. Our role involved helping develop the project master programme for planning submissions and procurement phases. In addition, our Cost Consultants provided proactive feedback during the design phases. calfordseaden is providing Employer's Agent and Quantity Surveying for Knights Road, part of the wider Blackbird Leys development. This phase of the development will comprise 84 new homes, all available for shared ownership. The purpose of this phase is to offer increased opportunities for young people to continue to reside locally and secure a place on the housing ladder. The scheme adopts Passivhaus principles and will achieve over a 60% reduction in regulated CO2 emissions compared to a Part L Building Regulations compliant baseline.
