Last week i was scheduled to present to a year group of Year 9’s on behalf of the Careers At Sea Ambassador programme. Unfortunately i was sick and unable to attend but made a narrated powerpoint for the school to use and will return later this month for a Q and A session with the students who are interested. Growing up, i had no idea of what a career at sea and its important we publicise what a rewarding and varied career it can be! The latest ‘Queen’ in the Cunard fleet Queen Anne, was in Liverpool on 3 June for her naming ceremony. Former FNC officer cadet and current part time Maritime lecturer Jonathan Davies is First Officer aboard the ship.
