Last week ITV star Kenny Doughty was our guest of honour opening the newly refurbished imaging department at Bath Clinic. We were also delighted to host Her Worship Michelle O'Doherty, Mayor Bath and Councillor Karen Walker for the event. The new equipment provides our imaging team with significantly higher quality images, enabling better visualisation of fine structures and subtle variations in tissue density. For the community, this means faster results, empowering doctors to initiate the best treatment pathways more quickly. Watch our guests meet our staff and tour the hospital witnessing first-hand the critical role that imaging and diagnostics play in patient treatment and recovery. About us
Circle Health Group is the UK’s largest private hospital group, with more than 50 locations nationwide. In 2021 Circle was featured in Health & Social Care’s 20 Best Companies to Work For, and also placed in the Top 25 Best Big Companies to work for. Since 2019 we have held the Silver Award in The Ministry of Defence's Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme. We offer more than 500 different treatments across 60 specialties, and work with a network of over 6,000 renowned consultants. When you choose to go private with us, we’ll take the time to get to know you and your individual needs, building a bespoke treatment plan that puts you front and centre. Each year we welcome around 296,000 inpatients and 1.7 million outpatients. They trust us to provide the quality, expert-led treatment they deserve. How much do you know about your heart’s genetic risks? Heart problems aren’t just for older people; they can affect anyone. Genetics play a big role in heart health, affecting how strong your blood vessels are and how your heart cells work. Genetic mutations and a family history of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes can increase your risk of heart disease. Preventing heart disease starts with having clear information. New advancements in genetic testing can help, especially for younger people, by providing insights into their risks and how to manage them. Our procedures and care have the ability for people to manage their lifestyle, so they’re no longer concerned of living in fear of symptoms. If you have any questions about the heart and circulatory disease, watch “In A Heartbeat”, a programme that we are proudly part of; that aims to answer your questions. Learn more about the hospitals involved and our commitment to heart health. Today, we are thrilled to share the inspiring journey of Andrew Horton a shining example of our dedication to career progression and development. Read Andy’s story below. "I joined Sarum Road Hospital in 2019 as the Clinical Services Manager for Physiotherapy with a 9 year background in both NHS and private practice. This was not my first management role, but whilst reflecting back on my management journey, I can see how much I developed during this post, steering the department through several challenging years of Covid 19, a CQC inspection and completing the Institute for Leadership and Management level 3 course in 2021. In 2022, I was part of a team shortlisted for the RISE awards for the CEO award for Innovation. The senior management at Sarum Road Hospital played a significant role in my development, helping to place me on the Charted Management Degree Apprenticeship, which I completed with First Class Honours earlier this year. I can’t thank them enough for their support with this! I had always wanted to progress myself beyond this role and actively engaged with the wider hospital whenever I had the chance. Last October, I was given the opportunity to support in the project management of an 8 month, £1.4 million Radiology Department refurbishment and MRI installation project which completed earlier this year as well as becoming the Clinical Services Manager for the Outpatients Department at the start of 2024. I’m really proud of my time at Sarum Road Hospital and the successes we made in progressing the departments during my time there. I recently progressed to Director of Clinical Services for Circle Integrated Care, and I am looking forward to the exciting opportunities this dynamic role brings. I am next aspiring to complete an MBA in the coming years and look forward to further developing my career at Circle Health Group."
