🏆 MICHELMORES PROPERTY AWARDS WINNER 2024 - MASTERPLANNING FOR THE FUTURE 🏆
We are delighted to have received our 4th prestigious award this year for our 125-home scheme at Collaton Park, Newton Ferrers.
The application, a joint venture between PILLAR LAND SECURITIES LIMITED & Coln Signature Homes, with partner Noss & Newton Community Land Trust, seeks to rebalance the existing housing market by delivering a range of new and innovative housing tenures and employment solutions in the rural community. This is an industry-leading example of community-led housing, achieved through extensive local engagement, consultation with the Parish Council and community, and dialogue with all consultees and stakeholders.
This helped us understand & assess the local housing need and propose a tailored open market and affordable housing mix, providing 46% affordable housing secured by a local allocations policy and principal residence restriction. The application includes 18 social rent homes on land gifted to the Newton and Noss Community Land Trust (protected from the Right to Buy/Acquire).
The unallocated site is situated in the South Devon AONB. Our landscape and ecology-led masterplan design includes the planting of over 1,000 trees and hedgerows, a new public parkland of 16-acres, community orchard, new Parish Council allotments, 3 play area’s and parkland café, toilet and shower facilities, alongside 11 employment units providing much-needed space for rural enterprise.
Works are well underway and engagement continues to be carried out through our consultation website; https://lnkd.in/eSFaXiaZ
