As we wrap up 2024, we at Danu Robotics want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters, stakeholders, and partners. Your support has been instrumental in helping us drive innovation and sustainability forward. May your holidays be filled with joy, peace, and sustainable cheer! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, The Danu Robotics Team
About us
Danu Robotics manufactures recycle-able waste sorting robots and computer imaging systems, controlled by AI. Our series of robotic systems are designed specifically and only for picking dry mixed recyclable materials, capable of retrofitting into existing manual waste sorting facilities. Optimised for Material Recovery Facility (MRF) operational efficiency, our robot arms use modular and plug and play hardware - high wear component like grippers can be replaced in minutes by on-site operators ensuring minimal downtime and the potential for 24/7 operations. Our computer vision software identifies and outlines objects ensuring highly accurate picking and high purity of separated recyclable materials. Danu's demo facility opens in April at the National Robotarium in Edinburgh, appointments are by invite only however we will explore educational opportunities for any organisation also invested the drive to a circular economy and the role recycling plays.

My first work trip, and it’s straight to magical Edinburgh 🧳✨ ✅ Attended this year’s #IECGM in Edinburgh, where our team did a live demo of the Open Digital Platform (ODP), showcasing its vital role in shaping the future of smart city ecosystems for Singapore, along with the key IEC standards that guide it. ✅ Visited The National Robotarium, a leading center for robotics and AI, which is driving innovation across healthcare, manufacturing, and environmental solutions. A highlight was meeting the team behind Danu Robotics, a startup leveraging AI & robotics to tackle environmental challenges. Tan James Wei Wei Teng Po Song Yi Lee Yu Ting

"Robotic waste sorting is inevitable, we just need to see it working well" was the common response from Material Recovery Facility (MRF) operators during Danu Robotics research phase. So building a demonstration facility to run their waste sorting system was also inevitable. Opening in April 2024, Danu's facility at the National Robotarium in Edinburgh will demonstrate their two arm 'Retrofit' system on dry mixed recyclable waste and soon the full system designed to sort across the whole mixed waste. Founder Amy (Xiaoyan) Ma said "we will show how accurate, operationally efficient and scalable the system is to customers who have been waiting for robotic systems to mature. Our robots are fit for purpose, designed and built to sort waste, they're not adapted from general purpose robots so are highly cost-efficient". Danu's series of systems are optimised for operational efficiency so are modular and use plug and play hardware - grippers can be replaced in minutes by on-site operators ensuring minimal downtime. Demonstrations are invite only, however Danu will explore educational opportunities for any organisation invested in the drive to a circular economy and the role recycling plays. info@danurobotics.com #RMAS #ESA #recycling #robotics #circulareconomy #wastesorting #manufacturing #zerowaste #DMR #MRF #materialrecoveryfacility #AI #retrofit
