We’re excited to share that the Design Council has joined the newly relaunched Net Zero Council—a powerful collaboration between government, business, and civil society to drive the clean energy transition as part of the UK’s Plan for Growth. As our Chief Executive, Minnie Moll states: “Design has the power to cut across sectors, fuelling innovative thinking, embracing circular approaches, and turning the challenges of climate change into opportunities for economic growth, improved quality of life, and a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.” Design is a powerful tool in the creation of a cleaner, greener future. We look forward to working alongside fellow council members to turn ambition into action. Find out more: https://ow.ly/BmLr50UUFQz #NetZero #DesignForPlanet #CleanEnergy #Sustainability
Today we have relaunched the Net Zero Council, which aims to deepen private-public partnership to ensure a clean energy transition that will maximise economic growth and support jobs. The membership includes leading voices from business, finance, local government, unions, civil society and more. Led by co-Chairs Energy Secretary Ed Miliband and Shirine Khoury-Haq Group CEO of Co-op, the group will discuss how to inform net zero strategy and drive opportunities across the economy, working in partnership with government.
