This strategic tool not only enhances decision-making but also drives innovation in a rapidly evolving landscape. 🤝 The partnership between the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and Strategic Command underscores this trend. By establishing the Defence Wargaming Centre (DWC) and the Defence Experimentation and Wargaming Hub (DEWH), both organisations are committed to advancing analytical capabilities and fostering collaboration. 🖋 The signing of a partnership charter this October marked a significant step forward. Under the charter, the DWC and DEWH will operate seamlessly, aligning their goals and enhancing the overall wargaming capacity of the MOD. Wargaming can be applied across various sectors. We are very proud of our air platform protection system Miysis DIRCM (Directed Infrared Countermeasure) and its performance during the latest live-fire trial. A range of heat-seeking threats were fired against it, including simultaneous launches. The 100% success rate speaks for itself. Our cutting-edge air-defence #laser to protect Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots from missiles defeated all threats in trials. The system defeated a range of infrared heat-seeking #missiles being fired simultaneously during the tests in Sweden. This could help keep aircrew and aircraft safe during missions.
