Yesterday we were delighted to join Energy Minister, Michael Shanks MP and the UK’s transmission networks to discuss the expansion of the UK’s electricity grid. The event was a great opportunity to bring together MPs from across the political spectrum for conversations around building an energy grid to power Britain’s future.   The need for a cleaner, more sustainable grid is clear from stakeholders across the country, but the challenge presented by growing electricity demand requires the most significant transformation of its infrastructure since the Second World War. Upgrading our grid will enable more stable energy prices and greater investment in ‘homegrown’ energy, allowing British businesses to compete more effectively and mitigating households' exposure to global price shocks.
