Spot the difference 🔎 The final phase of works reached completion for Dorset Police’s new HQ last week - a very exciting milestone having started work on the project at the start of 2021. The new headquarters has been built to replace the previous outdated 1950s office building. This flagship project provides vibrant and flexible work spaces, allowing the force to adapt to new ways of working. The HQ will also assist Dorset Police in their long-term plan to reduce operational carbon and running costs. Coreus Group have undertaken the roles of Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, BREEAM Assessor and Clerk of Works working alongside a fantastic team from Willmott Dixon, Corstorphine & Wright, Curtins, Hydrock, now Stantec, and Macgregor Smith to name a few! On a personal note, I started working on this project as an Assistant PM and have learnt so much along the way. Special thanks to the client PM Selene Cooper, who has been a pleasure to work with!

Where does the time go?! It's been a month since I was awarded University College of Estate Management's Undergraduate Apprentice of the Year, and I'm only just posting now! ⭐ It was a fantastic evening, celebrating the success of fellow apprentices and built environment professionals. It was inspiring to meet like-minded peers and members of UCEM's network, and hear about their stories and ambitions. I left feeling really proud and privileged that I am part of such a welcoming and supportive community. Thank you to all those at #UCEM who played a part in organising this superb event. I am really proud to have received this award and am very thankful to my company Ward Williams and UCEM for all their support on my apprenticeship pathway so far. I am also incredibly grateful for everyone I’ve met in the industry so far. I’m learning so much and feel truly overwhelmed by all the amazing opportunities that support my growth and enable me to inspire the next generation to pursue a career in the built environment. https://lnkd.in/eZF9Hx7B #UCEM #WardWilliams #BuiltEnvironment #Apprenticeships

It was fantastic to be back at my former Secondary School, Ivybridge Community College, for another Careers Fair. Representing Ward Williams , Gemma Downing MAPM and myself had some great discussions with students about what career opportunities the #construction industry offers. It always feels really rewarding to give students an insight into the broad variety of roles which work together to develop the built environment. Having been in the students' shoes not long ago, I can really empathise that career prospects and pathways beyond secondary education can seem daunting and overwhelming - I hope that, by sharing my experience on my degree apprenticeship pathway in project management, students can feel inspired to follow a route that they are passionate about. #careersfair #schoolengagement #constructionindustry #degreeapprenticeship
