  • Nearly 300 million people worldwide need humanitarian assistance, but only 181 million are expected to receive it. Around the world, countless crises never make the headlines, leaving vulnerable communities in even deeper need. These neglected crises don’t disappear, and neither do we. In the Horn of Africa, we’ve been working since 2015 to provide essential medicines to communities, supporting local health initiatives and national vaccination programmes. 🚨 The situation is critical: ➡️ 43 million people urgently need humanitarian aid. ➡️ Millions of children under 5 face acute malnutrition. ➡️ Disease outbreaks—cholera, malaria, measles, and more—are on the rise, linked to severe droughts and conflict. Through our partnerships, our shipments have supported over 15.4 million patients across Ethiopia, Somalia, Somaliland, Kenya, and Djibouti. But there's more to be done.

  • Huda, a mother of four, was forced to leave behind everything she knew due to inter-communal conflict in South Sudan. With no income and relying entirely on humanitarian aid, she faced unimaginable challenges. Her youngest, a 1-year-old daughter, fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with both malaria and pneumonia. Desperate to find help, Huda sought care at the International Medical Corps healthcare facility, where her daughter received life-saving treatment. Medication donated by IHP gave her daughter a chance to recover, offering Huda a glimmer of hope amid the hardship. Follow IHP for more impactful stories from around the world. 💙

  • Today we're in the Alloga warehouse with Eddie 👋 - our Supply Chain Manager, as he prepares one of our Essential Health Packs (EHPs). Each pack, made up of two boxes, contains essential medicines that can treat up to 800 patients in areas where access to healthcare is limited. This particular kit is heading to Gaza to support those in urgent need. We’re incredibly grateful to our donors and partners who help make this possible, ensuring we deliver high-quality, long-dated medicines where they’re needed most. 🌍
