Today marks the launch of our new SHEQ Autumn and Winter Driving Readiness initiative, which will run from October through February. We know that as the days get shorter and the nights get longer and colder, that there are more risks to drivers health and safety. Drivers often face heightened challenges during the dark mornings and at night. Alarmingly, 56.1% of fatal road incidents in 2023 were caused by speeding, underscoring a critical issue we cannot afford to overlook. Combine fast speeds longer darker driving conditions and deteriorating driving conditions and the risk of a serious road traffic accidents increase.     At Ipsum, safety is our number 1 priority. We fully support national road safety campaigns to reduce speeding and serious / fatal accidents and actively encourage drivers as part of our Be: SAFE initiative to drive safely at work and in their private life. Imagine cutting your programme of works by two thirds 😮    By implementing innovative methodologies, our trenchless technology team reduced an expected 12-week programme to a mere four! Working closely with the client, the team heard their concerns around closing a major road in the area, as the town was heavily reliant on traffic commerce.    They took that away and created a revised programme, using a trenchless technology to reduce the time the road was closed, provided CO2 savings and a massive 62% reduction in overall cost.
