Last week we along with our client Essex Housing welcomed the We Are Colchester Board on to site at Lexden Gardens to bring them an update on the first phase of the re-development of the former Essex County Hospital site located in Colchester. Phase one, which we were appointed to deliver for our client, will bring 63 of the 120 new homes planned for the site once completed. Under the first phase we are pleased to be involved with conserving key features within the existing grade II listed main block of the former hospital, whilst also delivering a further two blocks and carrying out significant infrastructure and landscaping works. This visit follows on from the ground-breaking ceremony which took place last year. FBF!✨ In 1961 as Kind & Co’s personnel expanded the need came to move to a larger premises, so off we flew a few hundred yards down the road to Bridge House, Lancaster Road, Leytonstone. In in the mid-80’s the same was true, as we continued to grow as a company, this time however we moved only a couple of doors down and the other side of the railway bridge located in the middle of the high road. Also called Bridge House this is where our head office is today! Our head office and site teams have continued to grow and in 2025 we are a proud Employee Owned Trust of just over 100 people! #KindAndCo #Kind80 #80th #FBF
