It was a pleasure to host third-year students from Cardiff Metropolitan University's BA (Hons) Architecture and BSc (Hons) Architectural Design & Technology programmes for a 'Day in Practice.' Throughout the day, our team had the chance to share insights into projects and workflows, offering a real-world perspective of studio life in central Cardiff. These experiences are so important in helping students connect their studies with industry practice, enabling them to build confidence and understand the day-to-day realities of being an architect or technologist. "The facility is set to safeguard 500 jobs and create a further 100 roles, providing a significant boost to the local economy and contributing towards sustained growth in the South Wales region. "Lawray was initially appointed as Lead Designer to develop the Stage 3 and 4 elements of design throughout the PCSA process. Subsequently novating to the Principal Contractor team, Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd, and supporting with the construction delivery and handover protocols. "Every project presents challenges, but with dedication, development of strong working relationships, good communication, and integrity, the new facility has been successfully delivered and looks fantastic. "Hopefully, this will allow Press Glass to further their ambitions for development alongside their facilities located across the UK." . . . We’re delighted to see the grand reopening of Wrexham’s restored Grade II-listed General Market and Butchers Market! It has been a privilege to work on this project, helping to breathe new life into such a significant and historic community space. Restoring a building of this heritage brought its challenges, but through collaboration and commitment, we’re incredibly proud to see it ready for the community to enjoy once again.
