The alarm rings loud, it’s barely light,
Did we agree to run at night?
Through sleepy streets, the question remains—
Will this be the day it stops to rain?
With heavy heads and slower strides,
We brave the roads, we run with pride.
A coffee might help, or maybe two,
Is running hungover a risky thing to do?
Yet here we are, the property crowd,
Early but eager, resilient and proud.
Deals can wait, the emails too,
First, we run—and meet someone new.
So tighten your laces, embrace the ride,
It’s not about pace, but those by your side.
The weather is grim, but we’re here to stay,
Let’s run together and own this day!
