Tower Hamlets is lucky to have such a varied and dedicated VCS of more than 1300 organisations. Guest speakers from local organisations spoke about the difference that community groups make, and there was a marketplace of community stalls and networking opportunities. The audience was treated to a special performance from Cristiano, who attends a local Young and Talented performance group, which has been supported by council grant funding. He performed a medley of songs from MJ the Musical, which he’s currently starring in the West End as little Michael. ❄️ During the recent cold snap, we helped 40 people off the streets and into emergency shelter. Our cold-weather response provided those in need with a safe place to stay, and we're continuing to offer help and advice on housing options to those we sheltered.
