This week, our Business Continuity and Resilience Team hosted an event here at London Stansted Airport, bringing our airport community together to learn, grow, and enhance staff skills. ✈️ 👉 Over the course of the three-day event, we welcomed 1,380 individuals, with 750 of them being trained in CPR – equipping them with the life-saving skills to make a difference in critical situations. With the support of over 100 dedicated colleagues, we successfully created a meaningful impact, fostering a safer, more resilient community. 💙🤝

London Stansted Airport soars to new heights! ✈️ 📈 London Stansted is celebrating it's busiest ever February as it welcomed a record-breaking 2.1 million passengers. This is a 5% increase on the same month in 2024. 👮 Operational performance in February remained strong, with 98% of passengers passing through security in 15 minutes or less. ☀️ Looking ahead, the Airport is preparing for the upcoming summer schedule with new routes and Airlines announced. The half-term school holidays contributed to London Stansted Airport reporting its busiest ever February! 🎉 ✈️ More than 2.01 million passengers passed through the terminal during February, a 4.8% increase compared to the same month in 2024. With nearly 830,000 passengers travelling through Stansted during the half-term week alone. 📍The most popular destinations for winter sun-seekers included the Canary Islands, Southern Spain, Turkey, and Dubai, while the top choices for those heading to the slopes were Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble, Turin, Innsbruck, and Zurich. 📈 Operational performance during the month remained strong, with more than 98% of passengers passing safely through security in 15 minutes or less. 💼Stansted Academy has welcomed job seekers from Essex and the North London Area to its February Level One “Exploring the Aviation” course. 33 learners attended the first week of the course, covering essential units such as aviation industry insights, aviation geography and aviation technology. Anthony Lewis, one of the course attendees, said: “I have been unemployed for around 12 months. The first week of the course has helped me overcome my nerves, build confidence in my digital skills, and gain a better understanding of the aviation industry. I really enjoy being at the airport; the facilities and teaching staff have been great and very supportive. I’m excited for the second week and will be looking for roles within customer service at the airport.” At London Stansted Airport, we are committed to helping local people around the area. In the last year, the Academy has helped 275 people secure employment. As part of our long-term plan for sustainable growth, we are working with partners to nearly double the size of Stansted Airport College so they can train more local young people.
