Next week, we'll be heading to Ireland with The Academy of Urbanism (AoU) for the Ireland 2050: Balanced by Design Conference. We’ve recently completed the City Edge Project Strategic Framework in west Dublin, covering three regeneration areas that straddle South Dublin County Council and Dublin City Council land. One of Europe’s largest regeneration projects spanning 700 hectares, it is designed to create a series of distinct neighbourhoods and potential employment sectors that meet the long-term housing needs of Dublin. Associate Urban Designer Irene Frassoldati will be discussing Bow Goods Yard, 'making industrial uses a better neighbour', at the forthcoming Rail Stations & Property Summit in Regents Park, London, March 11th. Bow Goods Yard for Network Rail is the last piece of the Olympic Legacy Jigsaw. Lycra, Grit, and Fundraising. ML's Associate Director, Dominic Milner is Cannes bound for his debut ride in the Club Peloton Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM at the end of the week. He will tackle the challenge of cycling from the UK to Cannes over seven days, all while raising funds for several causes: Cyclists Fighting Cancer, Coram, and the Tom AP Rhys Memorial Trust. We've been teaming up with Accelerate, as part of the Open City UK programme and welcoming several students into the studio for mentorship with our architects. The initiative offers students exploring careers in the built environment the chance to be paired with members of our team and get a behind-the-scenes look at the industry. While with us, the students had the chance to create their own models and engage in discussions about pursuing a career in architecture and urbanism.
