Next week, we'll be heading to Ireland with The Academy of Urbanism (AoU) for the Ireland 2050: Balanced by Design Conference. We’ve recently completed the City Edge Project Strategic Framework in west Dublin, covering three regeneration areas that straddle South Dublin County Council and Dublin City Council land. One of Europe’s largest regeneration projects spanning 700 hectares, it is designed to create a series of distinct neighbourhoods and potential employment sectors that meet the long-term housing needs of Dublin. Richard Lavington & Andrew Kitching look forward to meeting you. #anglodutch #architects #urbanists

About us
Maccreanor Lavington is an award-winning architectural practice established in the early nineties by Gerard Maccreanor and Richard Lavington. Working from offices in London and Rotterdam, Maccreanor Lavington has built up a diverse portfolio of both individual buildings and large-scale urban design projects and has a particular expertise in housing, public buildings and regeneration. Our architecture is calm but uplifting, contemporary yet timeless. Rather than shout for attention, out work is deliberately background in character, seeking to create ‘ordinary’ places for living and working. Our philosophy is fabric-first design and we build robust, well-made buildings that will last. Our work has been recognised by numerous prestigious awards and has been cited as a case study in various publications on housing, schools and urban design.

Congratulations to ML Associate Director, Dominic Milner (pictured left with Gareth Atkinson of Civic Engineers ) who has successfully completed the gruelling seven day #cycletoMIPIM Knight Frank. A shivery & wet arrival into Cannes did not dampen spirits. Let's not forget the the charitable projects that this endurance test is helping to support, including Cyclists Fighting Cancer, the Tom Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust; and Coram. https://lnkd.in/d49BRibh #architects #anglodutch

Associate Urban Designer Irene Frassoldati will be discussing Bow Goods Yard, 'making industrial uses a better neighbour', at the forthcoming Rail Stations & Property Summit in Regents Park, London, March 11th. Bow Goods Yard for Network Rail is the last piece of the Olympic Legacy Jigsaw. It has been an important industrial and rail freight site since the 1800s and seeks to push boundaries on the net zero carbon transition for industrial-led development, whilst promoting social equity and engagement with the local community https://lnkd.in/eUAjSk53 #urbanists #architects #anglodutch

This week we are taking time to reflect on remarkable women ahead of International Women's Day 2025. As we approach Saturday, it is a time to reflect on those women who truly inspire us and to continue to highlight the ongoing fight against gender discrimination. Our team are taking the week to honour and celebrate the women who have helped shaped our worlds as we continue to pave the way for a more gender equal future. From Urban Designer Ilze Woolff, Feminist, Lois Weaver to The Pankhust Centre and our mothers and grandmothers. Here is a glimpse of those women we want to celebrate. https://lnkd.in/eAjG8_XY #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

Here's Associate Director, Prisca Thielmann and Gareth Healy ChPP MAPM from Stanhope PLC (pictured top middle and left) presenting the completed MacFarlane Place in London's White City as part of the Climate Resilience category for the Pineapple Awards. Thanks to judges Danna Walker Nick Jones Catherine Dewar & Christine Murray. The two elegant tenure blind affordable buildings for Peabody are located in the heart of West London’s new White City neighbourhood, and minimise energy bills, with efficient mechanical ventilation and heat recovery through the integration of robust external shutters. The low-maintenance shutters help residents control solar gain during peak periods, and allow their homes to be cooled by a combination of natural and mechanical ventilation during evening hours. #anglodutch #architects https://lnkd.in/eNnivsGq Photographs: Tim Crocker Fiona Smallshaw

We've been teaming up with Accelerate, as part of the Open City UK programme and welcoming several students into the studio for mentorship with our architects. The initiative offers students exploring careers in the built environment the chance to be paired with members of our team and get a behind-the-scenes look at the industry. While with us, the students had the chance to create their own models and engage in discussions about pursuing a career in architecture and urbanism.
