Cambodia is close to the remarkable feat of achieving #MalariaElimination by 2030.✨ In support of this goal, Malaria Consortium is intensifying efforts to interrupt malaria transmission and prevent re-establishment in the country's northern forest and border regions, through the RAI4E project (Regional Artemisinin-resistance Initiative 4 Elimination). Find out more in our latest project brief ➡️ https://brnw.ch/21wNG0c Funded by The Global Fund, and implemented in partnership with the National Center for Parasitology, Entomology and Malaria Control, UNOPS and provincial health departments, RAI4E is empowering locally recruited mobile malaria workers to provide testing, treatment and prevention services in difficult-to-reach areas where access to #healthcare is limited. Through our continued collaboration, we can ensure Cambodia's extraordinary achievement becomes a lasting legacy.

This #WorldMentalHealthDay, we're drawing attention to the importance of ensuring that those living with #MentalHealth conditions are able to access the heath services they need, no matter their circumstances. People experiencing mental health conditions can feel deeply isolated as a result of social stigma, which can impact on their social lives, livelihood, and general health and wellbeing. This is exacerbated when they face barriers to accessing #healthcare, such as in conflict settings or due to extreme weather events. Malaria Consortium is committed to ensuring that individuals have access to the healthcare they need, when they need it, wherever they are.

🗣️ Malaria Consortium colleagues took to the stage at last month's International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria in Malaysia. In a discussion moderated by Senior Vector Control Specialist Leo Braack, Technical Specialist Poe Poe Aung and Senior Programme Manager Lieven Vernaeve were joined by speakers from National University of Singapore and Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination. They explored Asia's impressive strides towards eliminating #malaria and discussed the insights it can provide for African countries. Leo was also part of a symposium organised by Outreach Network for Gene Drive Research and Target Malaria, which explored how can we effectively harness the potential of innovative #VectorControl tools to eliminate mosquito-borne diseases.
