We are delighted to point out that reclaimed products have a key role in Holden House's redevelopment process. This exemplifies the principles of circular construction, which involve maintaining the utilisation of valuable materials while minimising dependence on newly sources resources. In collaboration with Bloom Construction, we provided reclaimed plasterboard, which contributed to reducing waste and minimising the projects environmental footprint.
🚧 Supporting the Holden House Redevelopment 🏗️♻️ Bloom Construction is working with Derwent London, Gardiner & Theobald LLP, Veretec, DSDHA and Arup to support the redevelopment of Holden House on Oxford Street. We’re building a full-scale mock-up to test the proposed Ventilation, heating and cooling systems, helping to ensure the wider redevelopment of this 130,000 sq. ft listed corner block runs smoothly. 🔧 Strategic Installation: The mock-up has been set up within an empty floorplate, with an accelerated strip-out to enable installation. ♻️ Sustainability Focus: Using reclaimed plasterboard from Material Reuse and repurposed RAF from site, while hiring plant wherever possible is reducing the environmental impact. ⏳ Focused Timeline: 4 weeks on site, followed by 6 months of testing by ARUP. Working within this type of building brings unique challenges, particularly around the positioning of various elements and installation scheduling, but with our focus on careful planning and practical thinking, our team are well-suited to deliver the best outcome. 💪 #BloomConstruction #Retrofit #SustainableBuilding #HoldenHouse #ConstructionInnovation
