What a night! 🎉 Last night, our CEO, Ruth Keily, and Community & Relationships Lead, Ruth Brown, attended the Bath Life Awards to celebrate our joint nomination with Off the Record Bath and North East Somerset, alongside so many incredible charities we were honoured to be finalists with. While we didn’t take home the award this time, we’re incredibly proud to have been nominated and to continue working collaboratively with Off The Record. A huge congratulations to both Bath Rugby Foundation and Dorothy House Hospice Care, who won the Charity Award - so well deserved! We hope your teams had a brilliant time celebrating last night. A huge thank you as well to the organisers and judges of the Bath Life Awards for bringing together such a fantastic event and for recognising the work of so many brilliant charities across our community. The Bath Life Awards may be over, but our work continues. Together with Off The Record and The Bath 5k Map, we’re bringing more inclusive and nature-based fundraising events to Bath to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing. The lovely Spring weather is taking us back to a few weeks ago when our team and mentoring pairs enjoyed a special day at Fosseway Golf Club, who have generously chosen to support us this year 🏌️🎉 We had an amazing time playing alongside Club members in a Texas Scramble competition - especially our young people, many of whom had never stepped foot on a golf course before! A huge thank you to Dave Josham and the team, who are already planning more fundraising activities. They've kicked things off by donating to our upcoming raffle (more on this soon!) and have arranged to host a Primary Mentoring activity during the Easter holidays. As a small charity, we’re absolutely thrilled to have the support of the Club and can’t wait to bring more of our young people back for another round of golf. 🌟 Could we be your charity of the year? They did it!! 🎉 Supreme effort from our Bath Half runners yesterday! 20 brilliant humans ran the Half for us on Sunday, raising vital funds to support young people in Bath & North East Somerset. Every pound raised will help us continue providing: 🌟 Award-winning 1:1 mentoring support 🌟 Inclusive youth clubs 🌟 Inspiring activity programmes - All helping young people aged 5-25 feel safe, heard, and hopeful for their future. 🎨 Connection & creativity at The Holburne Museum Last month, five of our primary mentees had a brilliant day at The Holburne Museum , thanks to the amazing Louise Campion (Head of Learning & Engagement). After an inspiring tour of the pop-art exhibition, our mentees spent the afternoon designing their own pop-art tote bags - and they loved it! In fact, they had so much fun that most checked-out with a 10/10 at the end of the day. A huge thank you to Louise and the Holburne team for another fantastic experience. 💫 About our activity sessions Led by our wonderful practitioners, our school-holiday activity sessions give mentees the chance to connect, have fun, and build friendships while their weekly mentoring sessions pause. Over the past year, our partnership with Annie Legge’s Bath 5k Map and youth charity Off the Record Bath and North East Somerset has helped us break barriers, innovate, and raise over £15,000 to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
