The Black Maternity Experiences Survey is Now Live! We’re calling on Black women and Black mixed-heritage women in the UK who are currently pregnant or have given birth since July 2021 to share their experiences of maternity care. Why does this matter? Because your voice holds the power to create change. When we launched our first survey, the findings helped us lobby the government, and one of our key recommendations led to a target being set to tackle racial disparities in maternal health. This proves that when we come together, our voices can’t be ignored. I hugely enjoyed the opportunity to talk to Abi Mellor yesterday about all things NCT Charity, women in #leadership, #community and #family. It gave me a powerful moment to reflect on my journey to lead and be part of the incredible community of passionate, and sometimes quiet leadership which I see throughout the NCT community and the wider #maternity ecosystem.
