📢 Delighted to host the first regional heat of the 2025 Global Underwater Hub STEM Challenge yesterday at the NCC (National Composites Centre). Delivered by the Global Underwater Hub in partnership with the educational charity The Smallpeice Trust, this fantastic initiative introduces 13-14 year olds to career opportunities in the underwater industry. During the challenge, students, designed built, coded and operated a wheeled model ROV using Lego Mindstorms. 💡⚙️ The day concluded with a tour of our facilities, supported by our #apprentices and #engineers who provided students with insight into the exciting world of #engineering #innovation. At the NCC we are proud to play a role in inspiring the next generation in #STEM. 👏 Congratulations to all the schools that participated. Your enthusiasm and dedication made the event a success! At the SAMPE UK & Ireland Annual Conference, Marisa Zeolla, Advanced Technology Project Lead at the National Composites Centre , will discuss how industry-wide cooperation can drive meaningful change in composite sustainability.
