It’s not every day you get a brief of a lifetime but for the past year, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of bringing to life the next iteration of Rocket Companies. 🇺🇸 Moving the brand from a transactional mortgage provider to a passionate advocate for homeownership. Making it more distinctive, more meaningful and more inclusive. Immensely proud of the OTHERWAY team for their dedication to the craft and the brilliant work as a result. But above all, it’s been incredible to watch the collaboration and partnership between client and agency throughout. A true team effort. Some big moves from the OTHERWAY team across the pond 🇺🇸 🦅 We’ve spent the past year partnering with the U.S' largest mortgage provider Rocket to help shift the perception of the brand, moving it from a transactional mortgage provider to a passionate advocate for homeownership. Partnering with Jonathan Mildenhall and Peter Giorgi, alongside their in-house design team to rebrand Rocket from button to billboard. Making it more distinctive, more meaningful and more inclusive.

Given buying a house is such a massive part of building a life, the Rocket brief was all about evolving their legacy whilst also giving the brand way more heart. With a new mission to ‘Help Everyone Home’ the entire design system is built to showcase the genuine care, passion and pride the Rocket team has for all their customers. It’s been super interesting doing this in a category that’s not exactly famous for its (positive!) emotions. After all, mortgages are the one product none of us actually want to buy.

We have arrived at a transformative moment I've been dreaming of since joining Rocket a year ago! Our new visual identity means so much to me and represents something far bigger than design. It embodies our mission of opening doors for EVERYONE who dreams of having a home to call their own. The truth that drives us is clear: owning a home remains the cornerstone of building security, identity and generational wealth. It is our brand purpose, the reason Rocket exists and the driving force behind everything we do. Our refreshed visual identity had to celebrate this while becoming more welcoming, inclusive and iconic than ever before. EVERY element of this transformation carries meaning to us. Our new 'Halo' logo symbolizes the circle of trust and protection we create with clients. We've warmed our signature Rocket Red to reflect the compassion at our core. And in a tribute near to our hearts, our custom typefaces honor Nick Gilbert's legacy while pointing boldly toward tomorrow. One of my favorite parts? Featuring our amazing clients in the new visual storytelling. Real people, real stories, real dreams!
