A global architecture and urban design studio focused on research, sustainability, and innovation practices

About us

PLP Architecture is a London-based group of architects, designers and thinkers who value the transformative role of ideas and the capacity for architecture to inspire. Although we draw from a rich history and experience of working together on projects around the world, we have a culture of a young start-up. We value innovation and creativity as we strive to test limits. We produce intelligent, exciting and groundbreaking designs through a continual commitment to social, economic and environmental ideals. The office shuns preconceptions, fixed architectural styles or methods, allowing each project to become a unique opportunity to research, analyze and creatively respond to the brief, site and context. The foundation of our work lies in a commitment to the quality of life in the city, a delight in the handling of material, space and light and an optimism about architecture’s potential to enrich our society. We have a global presence, with permanent studios in London, Tokyo and Singapore. PLP Architecture is also supported by our research and innovation group, PLP Labs. • As Saudi Arabia embarks on a bold transformation; architecture and urban design are at the forefront of shaping a sustainable, forward-looking future. At PLP Architecture, we are proud to contribute to this vision - blending cutting-edge innovation with the beauty of traditional Saudi vernacular architecture. Our work in Saudi Arabia draws inspiration from the rich heritage of this diverse country - from intricate geometric patterns and shaded courtyards to sustainable passive design strategies that have stood the test of time. At the same time, we integrate the latest technologies, materials, and smart urban planning approaches to create future-ready spaces that are deeply rooted in cultural authenticity and environmental responsibility. Through sensitive, sustainable, and human-centric design, we are creating novel spaces that embrace modern lifestyles while honouring tradition. Our approach ensures that Saudi Arabia’s urban future remains deeply connected to its rich architectural legacy. We are excited to be part of this journey, working alongside visionary partners and stakeholders to design places that inspire, connect, and endure.

“New York has Hudson Yards, Melbourne has Southbank, Sydney has Barangaroo and now London has Bankside Yards, a £2.5bn regeneration project beside Tate Modern.” The Financial Times has featured Bankside Yards in its How to Spend It Property Hot List, alongside some of the most premium global developments from New York to Rome to a private island paradise. Arbor, a 19-storey 223,000 sq ft flexible workspace, was the first of the eight buildings at Bankside Yards to be completed, which will be followed by Opus, with sales launching this Spring. Opus will offer 249 premium apartments on the River Thames, which includes a range of sizes from studios to four bedroom apartments, over 50 floors. What Bankside Yards offers is a new route along the South Bank that opens up 3.3 acres of public space for the first time in 150 years.  Read more via the Native Journal: https://lnkd.in/eS6U3K4i #Southbank #BanksideYards #SE1 #property

  • In an increasingly digital world, the role of the physical model in architecture remains as relevant - and impactful - as ever. While technology allows us to visualise our designs in extraordinary ways, there’s something uniquely powerful about a tangible model. It invites conversation, encourages exploration, and helps bridge the gap between concept and reality in a way that drawings and renders often can’t. For clients, it brings clarity. For teams, it fosters collaboration. For designers, it sharpens thinking. Whether it is used to test an idea, communicate a vision, or support a pitch, the architectural model remains a vital tool in our creative and strategic toolkit. PLP model maker: Ray Allen

At Multiplex we’re driven by impact and materiality to reduce embodied and operational carbon. By rethinking design and leveraging carbon efficient materials and processes used to construct buildings, we can help reduce emissions to ensure we’re contributing to change within the built environment. 100 years ago, the Paris International Exhibition gave the world a bold new language of design. Sleek, geometric and glamorous - Art Deco roared into modernity. Fast-forward to 2025, and we’re still captivated. As mentioned in the spring edition of Sphere Magazine, Deco’s impact is still being reinterpreted for contemporary life. Take 60 Curzon in Mayfair - a building that quietly echoes Art Deco’s golden age while setting new standards for luxury living today. As our President, Lee Polisano, puts it: “We aimed to reclaim a tradition of luxury urban living that had been lost at the end of the last century.” As we mark a century of Deco, we’re inspired not by nostalgia, but by its enduring energy. It’s not just about style - it’s about optimism, progress and pushing the boundaries of design. Read the latest edition of the Sphere Magazine in full here: https://lnkd.in/dbkwEtKF

  • This spring, London’s prime residential market is ushering in a new era of luxury living, one that seamlessly integrates sustainability, wellness, and exceptional design. As mentioned in this article by Mansion Global, discerning buyers are now seeking more than just high-end finishes. To this end, new developments are increasingly focusing on eco-conscious architecture and state-of-the-art fitness amenities that promote a holistic lifestyle. At Bankside, our project Opus encapsulates contemporary riverside living, offering a blend of design-led residences, green spaces, and amenity rich facilities. As demand for sustainable, wellness-oriented homes continues to grow, these developments demonstrate that luxury living is no longer just about aesthetics but about experience, well-being, and a deeper connection to the cityscape. The supply of new luxury homes in Mayfair has hit a 10-year low, and the effects are seismic, according to an article by City AM. New planning restrictions and soaring construction costs mean that high-net-worth buyers are struggling to secure new pieds-à-terre. Mayfair is becoming even more exclusive, and those who own or invest in prime real estate now hold one of London’s rarest assets. With new luxury homes in Mayfair becoming increasingly scarce, developments like 60 Curzon offers a considered response to growing demand while complementing the character and heritage of the area.
