  • We are thrilled to confirm yesterday's unanimous approval by Wealden District Council Planning Committee of the Reserved Matters planning application for our scheme for 700 mixed tenure new homes at Mornings Mill Farm in Lower Willingdon, East Sussex, for our client Tarn Homes   The designs for this exciting landscape led development have evolved over the past year and required our urban design and landscape teams to prepare a masterplan that balances this new residential settlement with a range of other uses including community facilities, a new school, play/leisure facilities, commercial/employment and medical centre. A variety of 'green infrastructures' build upon existing public footpath networks (including the '1066' route) and has resulted in a series of high-quality places integrating SuDS throughout.    Our residential planning and landscaping teams worked alongside Tarn Homes, their wider consultant team and various LPA stakeholders to create a bespoke house type range that reflect local materials and architectural styles for the 700 new homes which includes a local mixed-use centre at the heart of the layout.   Congratulations to all involved... a fantastic team effort! • Client: Tarn Homes • Architect: Roberts Limbrick Ltd • Landscape Architects: Roberts Limbrick Ltd • Planning Consultant: DHA Planning Group • Highways Consultant: Dha Transport Ltd • Drainage & Civil Engineers: Adept Consulting Engineers Ltd • Ecology Consultant: DEREK FINNIE ASSOCIATES LTD • Arboricultural Consultant: Middlemarch • Noise Consultant: QUANTUM ACOUSTICS • Lighting Consultant: Williams Lighting Consultants Ltd

  • A nurturing space for early years learning at Cheltenham College Nursery. Designed with a biophilic approach, this interior seamlessly connects with the outdoors, creating a calming and inspiring environment for young learners. Collaborating closely with the architectural team, the design seamlessly reflects the nature-inspired building, embracing organic forms, earthy tones, and a soft, neutral palette. This thoughtful approach minimises overstimulation while nurturing well-being, creativity, and exploration. The design prioritises timelessness and durability, with solid timber furniture sourced from Community Playthings, ensuring longevity while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. #EarlyYears #InteriorDesign #BiophillicDesign #LearningEnvironments

  • Our interiors team recently flew out to Spain for a behind-the-scenes look at the COSENTINO factories, where two of their most sought-after solid surface materials, Dekton and Silestone, come to life. The journey kicked off with a fascinating tour of the labs, where innovative products and fresh colourways are developed. This was followed by an inspiring session with Cosentino’s design director, who shared insights into the creative process behind product design and testing. Next, we explored the Inspiration Lab - a space that showcased striking large-format slabs styled in stunning bathroom and kitchen setups, sparking endless design possibilities. The highlight? A deep dive into the manufacturing facilities, witnessing the impressive scale of production - from heavy-duty machinery crafting raw slabs to meticulous hand-finishing techniques. We even got a glimpse into the final stages, where packaging and shipping ensure these crafted pieces reach their destinations worldwide. Thank you to Jenna Handley and Matthew Slark for organising this incredible experience, allowing us to explore everything Cosentino has to offer and providing an opportunity to network with fellow designers. #Cosentino #Solidsurface #interiordesigntrips

  • It’s wonderful to be involved with the design and delivery of these units and fantastic to see the Greenfield site finally being developed. Having been part of the site’s redevelopment since its purchase from British Zinc Ltd at the turn of the century, it’s incredibly exciting to see it reach this stage!

  • After a tough 4-1 loss in our last match, we were back on the pitch last night against E G Carter & Co Ltd, determined to turn things around. The result? A hard-fought 4-4 draw - showing that teamwork, resilience, and a bit of footballing flair can really make a difference! Both teams put in a great effort, and the game was a brilliant example of how our relationship continues to grow on and off the field. It’s always great to get active with a team of such fantastic people and strengthen those connections. From the office to the football field, we know that success is all about working together, having a solid strategy, and learning from every challenge. We’re getting better with every game - maybe next time, we’ll complete the comeback with a win! 😉

  • The highly anticipated Whitchurch Pool & Fitness Centre was officially handed over last week an impressive 10 weeks ahead of schedule and is set to open its doors to the public mid-March. This state-of-the-art facility features a 25-metre, six-lane community pool with a movable floor, a 41-station fitness suite, multi-purpose rooms, accessible changing facilities, and a café. In addition to providing a fantastic resource for residents, five local primary schools will benefit from access to the facilities, supporting young swimmers and promoting an active lifestyle from an early age. Beyond its role as a community hub, the centre is expected to attract visitors from nearby regions, boost economic growth, and create new opportunities for local businesses. Designed to meet BREEAM Excellent standards, the all-electric building incorporates a wide range of sustainability initiatives to minimise its environmental impact. This £14 million project, funded by the council, was made possible through dedication and collaboration of all involved. Delivered via the UK Leisure Framework - owned and managed by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd - this project has been driven by the expertise and diligence of Pellikaan Construction Ltd, Alliance Leisure, Furness Partnership, CGP | MEP Ltd, Design Active, Greenwood Projects as the Principal Designer CDM and Axiom Project Services Limited as Project Managers. It has been a very rewarding experience delivering the scheme as the Architects for this project from conception through to completion with a very talented project team. We look forward to seeing the Whitchurch Pool & Fitness Centre thrive under the operation of Serco Leisure and serve as a lasting community asset. Robert Macey, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet lead for culture and digital, commented: “I am thrilled to see the progress we have made with the Whitchurch Swimming and Fitness Centre. The build quality is exceptional, and the range of facilities on offer will cater to all members of our community. This project is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality leisure services and promoting a healthy lifestyle for our residents.”

Furnishing was installed in December for an exciting new facility at Hartpury University and Hartpury College!   The new Veterinary Nursing and Technical Skills Centre has been thoughtfully designed to support both students and staff, offering a dynamic mix of practical learning environments and welcoming communal areas.   The central space provides a dedicated breakout and study area, giving students a place to recharge between lab sessions. On the first floor, staff benefit from their own lounge and office spaces, creating a well-balanced environment for functionality and comfort.   The colour scheme ties in with the newly refurbished Graze building, embracing biophilic finishes like timber, stone, and iron effects, complemented by touches of red, sky blue, and neutrals—reflecting the natural tones of farming and fields.   To enhance flexibility and comfort, we've incorporated desking and breakout furniture from Verco., creating a dynamic and adaptable space for students and staff alike. Additionally, bespoke signage was designed in collaboration with Fusion Creative, adding a personalised touch that seamlessly integrates with the overall aesthetic.   A space designed for learning, collaboration, and connection—we can’t wait to see it in action!   #InteriorDesign #EducationSpaces #VeterinarySkills #BiophilicDesign #HartpuryUniversity #UniversityCampusDesign
