  • Our interiors team recently embarked on an inspiring trip to Denmark, where they had the opportunity to visit the Ege Carpets factories. The journey also included an exploration of Ege’s rewilded landscapes, home to bison and Shetland ponies. The team enjoyed stays at two stunning hotels - Best Western Plus in Herning and Hotel Royal in Aarhus - and immersed themselves in the cultural and design highlights of Aarhus. Highlights included a city tour, a visit to the renowned ARoS Gallery, a guided tour of City Hall, and dinners at Mezza in Herning and Cinco in Aarhus. The trip was a culturally enriching and design-focused experience, leaving our designers brimming with inspiration and excitement for upcoming projects. During our factory tour, we had the privilege of witnessing Ege's incredible craftsmanship firsthand, following the entire process of how Ege work their magic from concept to completion to create their beautiful carpets and rugs. We sawthe entire process of carpet creation, from design and manufacturing to thorough quality checks throughout production. We were truly impressed by the scale on which they operate while maintaining a very close eye on quality and sustainability - which extends beyond the factory. Ege embodies a genuine sense of community and environmental responsibility which is evident all the way through the process. Collaborating with Ege on our projects is always a pleasure due to the creative freedom they can offer us as designers, regardless of the vision we have for our projects. They offer a wide choice of colours and patterns developed by their design team, along with endless possibilities for bespoke designs. We experienced this first-hand when they surprised us with a printed carpet sample based on one of our own photos! The experience was truly incredible and hugely eye opening to the brilliance of what we already knew to be an incredible company. It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the key members of the Ege design team as well as like minded designers. Lisa Knight #egecarpets #bespokecarpetdesign #interiordesign

  • We visited site this week to see the finishing touches being applied to the Canada Water Leisure Centre project before it is handed over to London Borough of Southwark. We have been involved with the project from the very beginning, firstly supporting Southwark Council in the early designs and then working with Mace Construction in delivering the technical designs to completion.   This is a unique project for us to be involved in, as the majority of the the Leisure Centre is located in the basement levels of the building. A generous glazed lobby and striking canopy gives access to the foyer and reception which provides a welcoming space for members and visitors. From the foyer space, views are provided via glazed screens into the Fitness Gym and down into the Main Pool and and Sports Hall in the lower basement levels below. The new Leisure Centre with provide London Borough of Southwark with the highest quality Leisure Centre facilities such as Main and Learner pools, Sports Hall, Fitness Gym, Studios, dedicated Spinning Studio and dedicated dry and wet changing facilities.   Congratulations to all involved in the project, it has been a privilege to collaborate alongside British Land, Mace, Allies and Morrison, Waterman Group and AECOM to deliver this amazing project.

  • Our interior team are accomplished designers, experts in transforming spaces that feel right, showcase your brand and enhance the overall experience. All our designs are perfectly balanced between budget, practicality and quality, all while ensuring a strong sense of character. When it came to our own office refurbishment back in 2022, we were able to apply this approach first hand within the historic Carriage Building. Our update in branding and logos coincided with the refurbishment of our office, and much of the design inspiration came from this. We focused on adding depth and blending natural chic with industrial elements to enhance the building’s unique features - exposed Victorian steels, old brickwork, and large industrial windows. The colours chosen complemented our new branding and provided the depth needed for the vast spaces, while the oak tones introduced warmth and contrast to the blue and green hues, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. This office transformation is now more than just a workspace - it’s a tangible representation of our commitment to thoughtful, impactful design that not only works but inspires.

This achievement marks a brilliant step forward for innovation and sustainability in the Gloucestershire area. The new development will be pivotal in supporting the company’s growth and driving progress toward carbon neutrality. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to making this achievement possible!

Morgan Elliot Planning, working closely with Stroud District Council and Gloucestershire County Council have secured planning permission for the first phase of the expansion of the McMurtry Automotive Limited R&D and manufacturing facility at Wotton under Edge. The new buildings have been designed to help facilitate the growth and manufacturing of the Spéirling electric car, a pioneering and record breaking car which in 2022 set the outright hill climb record at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
