London, Tokyo, Stockholm, Rome and many more. The UNIQLO x Magnum Photos global photography exhibition – PEACE FOR ALL – has reached more than ten countries so far🌟 Expressing a wish for global peace, the exhibition captures the lives of children in Ukraine, Vietnam and Ethiopia. Federica Toscano, Senior Advocacy Advisor, Children on the Move, Save the Children Europe, said: “The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has forced countless children to leave behind everything they know. In times of crisis, providing not just shelter but also emotional and educational support is crucial for their well-being and future. Save the Children’s counselling hubs offer a safe space where children can heal, learn, and rediscover a sense of normalcy.” UNIQLO’s PEACE FOR ALL charity T-shirt project, supports Save the Children International, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and Plan International. UNIQLO and Save the Children have been working together since 2022. Through the PEACE FOR ALL initiative, we’ve supported and will continue to support children globally affected by conflict and emergencies. Explore the exhibition➡️ https://lnkd.in/gMfwkApb

About us
Save the Children Save the Children is the world's leading independent organisation for children. We work in around 120 countries. Our vision is to live in a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. Last year Save the Children's programmes and campaigns reached more than 55 million children directly around the world, through our and our partners' work. We work to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. Across all of our work, we pursue several core values: accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity and integrity.

With at least 420,000 children fleeing their homes, they’ve been stripped of any sense of safety and stability. Children are telling us every loud sound makes them jump. And, with the majority of schools still closed, they are missing out on their basic right to learn. We are responding in more than 190 shelters across #Lebanon. To help children recover and get a sense of normalcy back in their lives, we've set up safe space spaces where they can play, be creative and make friends. We want to establish more child-friendly spaces but we need your support to do this. Please donate to help children living in crisis👉 https://bit.ly/3TUznhH

How long will this go on before world powers say ‘enough’? How long can families already on the brink of famine be expected to survive the bombs, bullets and now 21-day siege on the north, blocking entry of aid and supplies? A horrific 24 hours in Gaza underscores the urgent need for international intervention with scores of people, including children and babies, killed in attacks by Israeli forces. This horrific violence in #Gaza must stop. We are pleading with the international community to urgently intervene. Every possible step must be taken to secure a definitive ceasefire and to ensure adherence to international law. Governments must stop fuelling the conflict with a supply of weapons and ammunition. #CeasefireNow

Sudan is still suffering a devastating conflict that has triggered widespread violence and instability across the country and displaced over 11.3 million people. We mustn't forget about it ⚠ Children are witnessing atrocities no child should see which is impacting their behaviour with many becoming anxious, not sleeping and suffering psychological distress. Also, famine-levels of malnutrition across half of Sudan’s 18 states have led to boys joining fighters and some girls marrying fighters as a means of survival to get food. Others were eating leaves to survive The situation for people is even more catastrophic in the city of El Fasher which has been under siege and continuous bombardment for months. About 2.8 million people in and around El Fasher in North Darfur currently have no option to escape or to access much needed assistance. Aid workers in El Fasher shared their experiences of living through the siege 👉 https://lnkd.in/db_ZNgf2 #Sudan #conflict

Children in Malawi are living through a devastating cycle of consecutive climate disasters⚠️ Today, together with the Green Climate Fund and the Government of Malawi, we’re marking an important milestone in our mission to develop climate-resilience healthcare systems, through the approval of a significant new US$37 million project. The ‘Climate resilient health and well-being for rural communities in Southern Malawi’ project will help empower communities to manage the many impacts of climate change on health, aiming to reach a fifth of Southern Malawi’s population directly - 1.7 million people - and create lasting change. With thanks to co-financing provided by GSK, Foundation S and Moondance Foundation. Read more here➡️ https://lnkd.in/gPVfvzvx

In northern #Gaza, an already starving population has been cut off from food since Oct 1st, while trying to dodge bombs and bullets in a kill zone they cannot leave⚠️ We have 5,000 food parcels destined for families in the north that can't enter due to the siege and restrictions. Starvation must not be used as a weapon of war. End the death and destruction in Northern Gaza. Governments must stop sending arms. #CeasefireNow

"I want to go back even if my house is bombed,” says Amar*, a 17-year-old girl, in one of the collective shelters we are supporting in Mount Lebanon. Children in Lebanon were already grappling with a severe humanitarian crisis driven by economic collapse, political instability and ongoing conflict. Now, 1.2 million people, including 420,00 children, have been uprooted from their homes due to escalating hostilities over the past year, the majority in recent weeks. On a daily basis, Israeli forces are issuing evacuation warnings for neighbourhoods across #Lebanon, forcing people to flee for their lives. Many are issued with little notice and often past midnight, giving families barely time to escape before bombardments begin. Children and families are enduring long, tiring journeys, unsure whether they will ever be able to return home. As always, violence is costing human lives – and children are bearing the greatest brunt. Their lives, rights and futures are being turned upside down. Nadine is part of Save the Children's ongoing emergency response. Read her testimony👉 https://bit.ly/488XvTL

International Humanitarian Law. You've probably heard about it in the news or read about it on social media - but what is it? And what happens if #IHL is broken? These rules exist to protect children and must be upheld everywhere, at all times, or they become meaningless. They must be applied consistently. There can be no double standards, where it applies to some and not others. Swipe to learn more👉

As conflicts escalate, the #ClimateCrisis deepens and global inequality widens, at least 153 million children face the ever-growing threat of #hunger⚠️ The world has made real progress on children’s health, nutrition and education over recent decades – but this crisis threatens to throw that progress into reverse. Families are being forced to make agonising choices to survive: ❌Some parents are taking their children out of school and sending them to work. 🥣Some are pushing their girls into early marriage, so they have one less mouth to feed. 💔Some children are being recruited into armed groups or gangs with the promise of food and protection, exposing them to violence and abuse. Millions of children’s lives and futures are hanging in the balance. But hunger is not a lost cause. With our expertise and their resilience, we can beat hunger together. This #WorldFood Day donate to stop children dying from hunger➡️ https://lnkd.in/etZY-eEb

Nearly all 1.1 million children are facing critical food insecurity across #Gaza⚠️ The ongoing siege, conflict and aid restrictions are cutting families off from growing or buying food. The longer children go malnourished, the more devastating the long-term impacts will be. We can help by providing them with food and special medical care. But the longer this war goes on without a definitive ceasefire, the harder it’ll be for us to undo the damage. Ahead of #WorldFoodDay we are calling for a #CeasefireNow and for Israeli authorities to let aid into Gaza without obstruction. Join our call➡️ https://lnkd.in/eEV2PeYu
