This morning the Government has announced a series of measures to tackle ticket touting and ensure fairness in the ticket resale market for major events including concerts and sports events. These include: -Caps on the price of ticket resales -Limits on ticket listings -Increased accountability -Stronger enforcement to protect consumers Alongside this they have announced plans to launch a consultation on the proposed measures. We are pleased to see the Government taking action on this issue, and we look forward to working with our members to ensure their best interests are represented throughout the process. From Boccia to Athletics, or from Dance to Angling, the list is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the individuals from across the country, who have given so much time and energy into making sport and recreation a space for everyone, which - amongst many others - includes: ⭐ Dr Anita White, founder of the IWG Women & Sport and Women in Sport, for services to women in sport; ⭐ Penny Briscoe, Chef de Mission, ParalympicsGB, for services to Paralympic Sport; ⭐ Mark Lawrie, CEO of StreetGames UK, for services to education and young people; ⭐ Adrian Christy, CEO of Table Tennis England, for services to Table Tennis; ⭐ Tessa Howard, Founder of Inclusive Sportswear CIC, for services to Inclusive Sportswear for Women and Girls; ⭐ Simon Macqueen, Director of Strategy at Sport England, for services to Sport; and ⭐ Stephen Neilson, Chair of British Handball Association, for services to Handball.    Congratulations to everyone from across our wonderful sector who’s received an Honour.
