Women Who Inspire Us: Spotlight on Stephane Mouren  As part of Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women who drive change, break barriers, and inspire us every day. This week, we’re proud to highlight Stephane Mouren, Maintenance Controller at Touchstone, whose journey reflects resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusion.  Stephane’s story is one of transformation. Originally from Paris, she moved to England ten years ago, eventually settling in Bath. In March, she’ll celebrate five years at Touchstone, a milestone that reminds her of just how far she’s come:  "I joined Touchstone the week before the first Covid lockdown. The company had to adapt almost overnight to protect colleagues while maintaining service for clients. That experience shaped how I see teamwork - supporting each other made a massive difference, especially as an expatriate when travel was impossible."  Starting in the Picture Living team, she gained insight into property management across Scotland, before stepping into her current Maintenance Controller role. Working in a traditionally male-dominated field, she’s seen real efforts to ensure respect and equality:     "The contractor world is still male-dominated, and I can see changes happening all the time to ensure that all genders are respected."     At Touchstone, Stephane has never felt that gender defined her opportunities:    "When I started, women were in every role, right up to senior leadership. Today, our directors are all male, but they are approachable, encourage open conversations, and support career progression for everyone. Gender has never been a barrier here."     Beyond her role, she’s part of the EDI (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) Committee, helping shape policies that ensure all voices are heard. From introducing free sanitary products in the Bath office to pushing for wider representation, she’s passionate about real action - not just words.     When asked about the women who inspire her, she named Beatrix Potter, not just for her storytelling but for her ability to challenge norms and revolutionise publishing:     "Through her, I’ve learned that there’s a right process for every goal—you just have to search for it."     She is particularly passionate about consent and body autonomy—issues that, even today, remain a concern:     "March often marks the start of ‘body shaming season,’ where women are judged by patriarchal standards. I hope that one day, women can exist—on a beach, in the workplace, anywhere—without their bodies being a topic of conversation or debate."     Let’s celebrate Stephane and all the women who inspire us. This week, we’re thrilled to spotlight Tracey Mock, compliance and training co-ordinator at Touchstone.  Tracey is unquestionably one of the most knowledgeable individuals in our business when it comes to ensuring business practices are compliant, colleagues are equipped with all the resources they need and Tristram King is well organised. One of her standout achievements? She is implementing a company-wide compliance training program that fits with our culture of continuous learning and individual accountability, resulting in even stronger regulatory adherence, so peace of mind for our customers and clients. When we asked Tracey how she manages to thrive in her environment and face challenges head on while making sure everyone is compliant, she shared: “Managing daily tasks, requires a balanced approach, not by doing everything, but by doing what matters, most effectively.” Tracey is passionate about “owning our accomplishments, recognising our hard work, and not being afraid to say, 'I did that!'. Women Who Inspire Us: Spotlight on Maria Navarro-Traczyk As part of Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women who drive change, break barriers, and inspire us every day- beyond just International Women’s Day. This week, we’re thrilled to spotlight Maria Navarro-Traczyk, resident service co-ordinator at our BTR site- The Blockhouse, Brighton. When we asked Maria how she thrives in a fast-paced environment as a woman in resident service co-ordination, she shared: “I find the chase in sales thrilling, and I celebrate when the deal is closed giving me a personal sense of fulfilment. I take the voids personally as I aim to have the building at a consistent level of occupancy.  Another area in my role that I enjoy is the event planning which focuses on inclusivity. We notice that many of our residents of all ages lead active lifestyles, so we have implemented a regular end of month 3k lunch run led by a member of The Blockhouse team and our partner fitness trainer.” Maria is passionate about inclusivity, which aligns perfectly with our company values. She is currently working on including everyone in the community events she arranges and making sure there is something engaging for everyone. Let’s celebrate Maria and all the women who inspire us! Team Touchstone Residential Property Management Takes on the LandAid Charity Sleepout  Yesterday, Touchstone took part in the annual LandAid Charity Sleepout - a powerful event focused on tackling youth homelessness which has already raised £560,847. We want to say a huge thank you to this year's team Alfie Pearson, Sarah Lawes, Corinne Cooper (Places for People), and Rufus Poole for representing our team and supporting this incredibly important cause and another MASSIVE thankyou to LandAid for organising and hosting. The event highlighted the very real challenges many young people face, and we are proud to contribute to the efforts to end homelessness. But the journey doesn’t end here. In Build to Rent (BTR) properties, all of our colleagues are part of the experience. It’s about creating a space where tenants feel valued, comfortable, and part of a thriving community. Our dedicated housekeeper at The Blockhouse, Peter, embodies this approach every day. He goes above and beyond his housekeeping duties - he actively contributes to tenant welfare and social value. Not only does he ensure the building shines, but he’s also a key part of creating a positive atmosphere. This Christmas, after his usual meticulous cleaning, Peter helped prepare and serve food for our community event, strengthening tenant relationships and building a stronger sense of belonging. Peter's work reflects the core principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). Peter’s attention to detail supports sustainability, while his involvement in events promotes social connection - demonstrating that a housekeeper's role extends far beyond the surface. Peter’s top 3 tips for creating a welcoming BTR environment:  -Be approachable and stay on top of tasks  -Focus on creating an inviting atmosphere -Take care of the details, like ensuring carpets are spotless At The Blockhouse, we know that fostering a sense of community and well-being is key to customer satisfaction - and Peter’s commitment plays a vital role in making this happen, helping us maintain our top spot on Homeviews in East Sussex.
