HS2 Northolt Tunnel East   This month, Tunnelcraft Director Jim Riordan conducted an Engagement Tour in the downline TBM at Northolt Tunnel East, located at Victoria Road Crossover Box. Jim was accompanied by Richard Gill (SCS Tunnel Superintendent), Gemma Thomas (SCS Health & Safety Manager) and Tunnelcraft Contracts Manager John Doheny.   This visit underscores Tunnelcraft's commitment to safety, quality, and employee engagement. HS2 Bromford Tunnels A huge congratulations to Jevon Lynch who began his tunnelling apprenticeship in May 2023, and his journey has been nothing short of impressive. He is immensely proud to have achieved his NVQ Level 2 in tunnelling, and as a result, has been offered a permanent position running the TBM grout batching plant. All at Tunnelcraft are incredibly proud to have recognised such young talent and supported Jevon as he begins his new career in UK Tunnelling. HS2 Bromford Tunnels Congratualtions to Kallum Greaves for receiving his NVQ Level 2 in tunnelling operations. Kallum has had an impressive start to his career, beginning as a tunnelling apprenticeship at Tunnelcraft nearly two years ago. After successfully completing his apprenticeship, he has now taken up a full-time position as a TBM service extension operator. Kallum said " I am proud of my acheivement so far and I am thoroughly enjoying tunnelling. HS2 Northolt Tunnel East Skanska Costain Strabag Congratulations to James West, a member of our TBM gangs at HS2’s Northolt Tunnel East. Starting as a Tunnelcraft apprentice, James has successfully advanced to become a Service Extension Operative in Gang B on the upline TBM. James received his NVQ Level 2 certificate in Tunnelling Operations and was also nominated for our Best Practice Award by his Pit Boss, Glen Callaghan. His nomination was for his overall performance and supporting all team members on the TBM. Glen said: “James has shown versatility, skill and quick learning in handling services, segment crane, grouting systems, and now the erector.” The award was presented by Tunnelcraft Director, Jim Riordan who said: “James is another great example of the success of our apprenticeship programme, which is important to future-proofing both our business and the UK’s tunnelling industry.
