Exciting News from North Macedonia! 🎉 We’re excited to share how our work in North Macedonia is making a real difference! Our Operations Director, Vince Smith, recently visited the region, and thanks to our School in a Box initiative, we’re bringing hope and practical support directly to the people who need it most. There are some inspiring individuals at the heart of this project: 📚 Local students who are eager to learn but lack the basic classroom essentials 🍎 Dedicated teachers striving to provide quality education with limited resources 🪚 Skilled community members like carpenters and welders who are stepping up to transform surplus materials into much-needed school desks and chairs 🩺 Healthcare workers doing their best in challenging conditions, with broken furniture and limited supplies During his visit, Vince also met with the Mayor of Veles, who has shown incredible enthusiasm and support for our initiative. The Mayor welcomed our efforts to enhance educational opportunities and improve community facilities. The enthusiasm and support from the local community have been overwhelming, and we’re incredibly excited about the future of this project. 🌍 Empowering Communities Through Culinary Skills🍴 We’re proud to support United Action for Children through our School in a Box programme, helping to transform lives in rural communities around Cameroon. Through their dedicated training programme, young women in rural areas are gaining valuable baking and cooking skills. From learning how to bake cakes and prepare doughs to cooking nutritious meals, these women are now planning to start small businesses to support their families and invest in their children's education 📚 For many of us, buying a loaf of bread is effortless, but for these women, it often means trekking tens of kilometres to the nearest city. Now, they’re empowered with the skills to produce their own bread locally, creating new opportunities for themselves and their communities. And it doesn’t stop there, students were also given small grants to run training sessions in their own communities, sharing their skills and knowledge while generating income by selling their baked goods 🎂 A huge thank you to our corporate partners for providing essential equipment to make these initiatives possible. Enhance waste reduction, recycling, and resource efficiency within supply chains - celebrate successes. 2. Leveraging Policy Advocacy Advocate for Pro-Climate Policies: Collaborate with industry coalitions and organisations to push for state-level and federal policies that support renewable energy and emissions reductions.
