We are delighted to announce that team Whitehead has secured the mechanical and electrical maintenance contract with Devon and Cornwall Police, with the contract awarded for six years and option to extend for a further 3 years. The contract award which covers 86 sites will allow the team to further strengthen their presence in delivering maintenance solutions throughout the Southwest region following recent long-term contract successes with English Heritage, The University of Bristol, Mezzino, Exeter City Council and Pagabo. “Securing this contract with Devon and Cornwall Police is testament to our growing track record of supporting clients across the region, and we can’t wait to get started" commented Shaun Johnson, Operations Director for Maintenance at Whitehead. Last week, Rhys Morton and Ben Nash attended the launch of an exciting new development in Bristol : Brabazon, by YTL developments. At 380 acres, this is one of the largest brownfield developments in the UK and will create a whole new side of Bristol. The development will house 6,000 new homes, 3 Million sq ft of commercial space, student accommodation and at its heart, a state of the art 19,000-capacity arena, connecting people via a new train station. The event was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London to launch the new project and was attended by people from across the industry and included the Malaysian prime minister! Brabazon is a brand new housing and lifestyle development in Bristol, inspired by Concorde: its been called the new playground for Bristol’s next generation combining housing, open space and social activities. Designed by award-winning architects and set on a network of 'living streets' of landscaped green spaces, “We were delighted to have been invited to this launch event and are very excited to be involved in this innovative project going forward” commented Rhys, managing director for Whitehead.

⭐ Music star surprises students in Cardiff! ⭐ Students at MOL Education, an alternative education school focusing on music, based in Splott Cardiff had a wonderful surprise last week when Ed Sheeran showed up during their college day! MOL Education provides students with alternative educational environments, off campus, where young people can be supported in a more focused setting. Recently, MOL invested in facilities including “The Container”, an outside space for teaching and DJ-ing, which Whitehead were involved with – providing the lighting facilities. During Ed’s visit he performed but also joined in with students music sessions – what a wonderful surprise for everyone involved and we hope Ed liked the facilities, too! #MOLEducation #Cardiffmusicscene #EdSheeran
