HG Construction are pleased to have been appointed as the main contractor on a new affordable homes scheme at Gunnersbury Lane for L&Q, one of the UK’s leading housing associations and developers, on behalf of Women's Pioneer Housing. Brook House will comprise 102 new homes over 15 storeys and is located opposite Acton Town Underground Station. The homes will be let at social rents to single women by Women’s Pioneer Housing, a specialised housing association founded in 1920 by suffragists. The organisation aims to support women who face inequality, abuse and disadvantages, especially in the housing market. Initial works will involve the demolition of existing buildings on the site, which have become uneconomic to repair and are unsuitable for refurbishment. They will aim to minimise disruption throughout the construction of these new homes and their community liaison team will keep in regular contact with local residents and businesses. They will also maximise opportunities to contribute positively to the local community throughout this scheme, particularly in relation to education, employment and skills development. Our #Yardhouse project in Hammersmith and Fulham has started on site with JJ Rhatigan & Company, reported here by Construction News We're working with specialist housing association Women's Pioneer Housing (WPH), City Developments Limited and Bridges Fund Management Ltd. to replace WPH's outdated headquarters and 36 affordable homes with a 16-storey tower with two six-storey wings. The tower will contain 209 #coliving apartments, while the lower-rise blocks will provide 60 #affordablehomes for single women and a new office for WPH. We are delighted that, just over a year after achieving planning permission, we have completed on the lease of the land at Wood Lane - a pivotal achievement in our development aspirations and ongoing commitment to provide good quality affordable homes for single women. As we waved a fond farewell to our offices of over 40 years, we remained excited about the future of the land, HUB’s innovative co-living development providing over 200 homes and realising our ambitions of delivering 60 new affordable homes for single women. We are proud to be working with great partners HUB , Bridge Fund Management Limited, City Developments Limited, @Trowers who have all been instrumental in reaching this milestone. 

We have agreed a #forwardfunding deal with Singapore-based real estate developer City Developments Limited (CDL) to deliver #Yardhouse, an innovative mixed tenure scheme in Wood Lane, west London, in partnership with Bridges Fund Management Ltd.   The project, designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, will deliver 209 #coliving homes alongside high-quality amenity spaces and two roof terraces, offering sweeping views across London. We have worked with Women's Pioneer Housing (WPH), a specialist housing association, for many years to collaborate on this innovative project which will also deliver 60 new high-quality affordable homes for single women, as well as a new head office for WPH.
