The Department for Business and Trade has issued a call for views and evidence about access to funding in advanced manufacturing scale-ups. In particular views are sought on: ➡ The number of UK advanced manufacturing scale-ups operating across different subsectors ➡ Potential barriers to the provision and accessibility of long-term growth capital ➡ The effectiveness of existing government support The call for evidence is open until 26th November, with more information available below. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dTHpKHAZ #CAM #FutureOfMobility

"If you're not at the table, you're on the menu"... Are you a current/prospective UK supplier into the connected and automated mobility (CAM) sector? If so, please take a moment to fill in Zenzic's survey - it closes on 31 October. This report is one of the main sources we use to understand the UK supply chain. It's really important that Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles gets as clear a picture as possible of what the UK CAM supply chain looks like (who, what, and where) so that we understand how best we can support it. What are our strengths? Where can we lead? Where are we not competitive? What are the barriers/opportunities? Supply chain and SME support remains a very high priority. #innovationisgreat #camtestbeduk #selfdriving #futuremobility https://lnkd.in/dM2fKbm5

It’s that busy time of the year again and as we work towards Spending Review(s) and a new financial year it is always great to get the #CAM sectors input in the challenges and opportunities ahead. For the third year we’re working with Zenzic to deliver a CAM Supply Chain survey and report. If you’re in the CAM space or consider yourself CAM adjacent and interested in the opportunities CAM may present please do follow the link below and complete the survey. There are opportunities to take part in hour long interviews too if you wish to talk to someone from Zenzic or our own Head of innovation David Webb https://lnkd.in/ej3FJwAz

The Solihull & Coventry Automated Links Evolution (SCALE) project is an exciting CAM deployment aimed at better understanding the role self-driving vehicles might one day play within our future transport system. The consortium behind the project, lead by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, features University of Warwick and Coventry University, Transport for West Midlands, the NEC - National Exhibition Centre, Coventry City Council, WMG, University of Warwick, Direct Line Group, Ohmio, IPG Automotive and dRISK. Building on previous learning, SCALE will demonstrate and further develop understanding around connected automated mobility (CAM) services. It will look specifically at the commercial viability of self-driving operations, passenger experience and operational factors such as insurance and vehicle maintenance. Learn more about the SCALE project through the link below: https://lnkd.in/eiJJ5MJi #CAM #FutureOfMobility
