🛰Preparing Europe for the 6G era! 🤝We've selected Open Cosmos as the operator and manufacturer for our 6G satellite precursor project. As part of a wider industrial consortium led by TESAT, Open Cosmos will be leading the designing and building the platform, integrating the payloads, launch procurement and satellite operation. 🌍The satellite mission, known as the 6G laboratory in orbit (LINO), will produce and deploy a 16U CubeSat to low Earth orbit. The platform will serve as a testbed for end-to-end connectivity, providing crucial data and insights that will inform the standardisation of 6G networks. 🗣"6G is the next-generation communications technology and satellites will play an important role in distributing these terrestrial networks to benefit customers across the globe," says Florian DECONINCK, Head of Growth at Open Cosmos. 💡Learn more in the full article👉https://lnkd.in/etGGXKHe #europeanspaceagency #esa #unitedkingdom #germany #finland #6g #satellitecommunication #innovation #connectivity #communication #inorbit #data
