Thank you to everyone that attended the presentations last week hosted by Bellefaire's Begun Center for Resiliency with resilience expert Deborah Gilboa! She was able to provide insight to everyone in the audience on ways that you can help children manage and overcome their stress and anxiety and transform it into resilience and productivity! "Dr. G. has a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping individuals strengthen their resilience and she presents this information in a very engaging and even humorous manner." - Chris Ruma-Cullen, Director of Prevention Services, Bellefaire JCB. Some key takeaways from Dr. G: • All change is stressful, but not all change is bad • Resilience is a skillset that can be called on and strengthened intentionally • Strategies that move people towards resilience: Empathy, Processing time, Information, Choice and Purpose
