Chevron reposted this
We are excited to share that Dr. Hye-Kyung Timken, an esteemed Chevron Principal Scientist and Fellow, has been inducted into the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). This is an honor that underscores her exceptional contributions to our industry. Election to the NAE is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer with membership honoring those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of engineering and technology. In an industry where technology and innovation are the cornerstones of our success, human ingenuity enables us to deliver on our purpose—developing the affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy that enables human progress. It was my honor to personally congratulate Dr. Timken during a recent tour of the laboratory at Chevron’s Richmond Technology Center where ISOALKY™ Technology was discovered in 2004. Dr. Timken exemplifies the spirit of ingenuity and excellence. Most notably, Dr. Timken played an instrumental role in developing and commercializing Chevron’s ionic liquid-based ISOALKY Technology, which has significantly improved process safety and reduced the environmental impacts of fuel production. #CVX #NAE2024 #Engineering #innovation
