Late last week the C3 team embarked on a site walk at "The Basin,” the project at 200 Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA, as part of their CA Training. The tour was interactive and designed to challenge team members, providing a valuable learning exercise for all involved and we are pleased to see the project growing closer to completion. “The Basin” is a multifamily residential project featuring 440 units and 3,600 SF waterfront restaurant space with additional 2,000 SF of outdoor space that will include a lakeside walking path, multiple roof decks, and an impressive landscape program. Additional amenities within the complex include a fitness center, common lounges, outdoor pools, and outdoor grills. Residents will have easy commuting access to Boston and beyond with an I-95/128 exit on either side of the site and a shuttle service to the MBTA Commuter Rail. We’re proud to say that The Waterhouse in Danvers, MA, our new multifamily construction project with Winn Development and the New England Homes for the Deaf (NEHD), is officially Phius certified. Phius, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to decarbonizing the built environment by making high-performance passive building the mainstream market standard. Among other things they certify and quality assure passive buildings, certify high-performance building products and conduct research to advance high-performance building. Originally incorporated in 1901, and with two renowned board members: Helen Keller and her teacher/interpreter Ann Sullivan, NEHD offers a variety of services for deaf, deaf/blind, and hard-of-hearing seniors (55 and older). Earlier this month AIA Miami awarded CUBE 3 with the "Merit Award of Excellence Built Interior Architecture" for "Parkhouse at the Moore,” our celebrated project in Miami, FL. Our firm was incredibly proud to accept the award for this incredible renovation, which emphasized our commitment to revitalizing this iconic 103-year-old building so it would excite future generations for the next 100. Our goal was to breathe new life into this Neoclassical gem, creating a space that honors its heritage while serving the needs of our modern community, and we can now confidently say we succeeded. It was our honor to work on this renovation while protecting and showcasing Zaha Hadid's iconic "Elastika" sculpture in the atrium. An integration enriched our vision and highlighted the dialogue between historic architecture and contemporary art. This achievement would not have been possible without our exceptional collaborators. We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Miami Design District , the team at WoodHouse, LLC, our interior designers ICRAVE and [studio-collective], our MEP engineers at 3FM Consulting, structural engineers at Bliss & Nyitray, Inc., life safety experts at SLS Consulting, LLC, our fabricators FRM Studio and our contractor G.T. McDonald. Their collective expertise and dedication were pivotal in transforming The Moore into a vibrant hub for future generations.

We look forward to partnering with South Shore Hospital, part of South Shore Health, on a transformational project made possible by a recent $5.3 million donation they received from the McKim Family Foundation. The project, which will be designed by CUBE 3, will include the expansion of the hospital’s West Unit, doubling its capacity. This enhanced space will allow patients to transition from critical emergency care to an environment better suited to their recovery needs—ensuring more efficient and seamless care, and aligning with our commitment to creating thoughtful, patient-centered designs that support healthcare excellence. We’re quite certain the new tenants who recently moved into their stunning new homes at 780 Morrissey Blvd. have never seen The Imprint look so beautiful. Nestled between I-93 and Morrissey Boulevard, this urban multifamily building is bringing life, activity, and art to this now thriving neighborhood in Dorchester MA. The building includes 219 rental units, most with beautiful views of Dorchester Bay, and thoughtful amenities including a fitness center, sky view terrace, outdoor courtyards, co-working spaces, and comfortable lounges.
