DePaul College Prep is a Catholic high school in the city of Chicago providing a challenging, college prep education for young women and men. Our academic partnership with DePaul University, our dedicated faculty, innovative teaching and learning curriculum and our welcoming community of students combine to create an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and values each student. Guided by our core values of Faith, Respect, Excellence, Service, and Health, DePaul Prep’s students and faculty are a community of learners who are actively engaged in our classrooms, on the athletic fields, and in the city of Chicago.

  • This past weekend, the DePaul Prep community partnered with Big Shoulders Fund for a Give Back Day at St. Sylvester School. Students and parents helped distribute meals from Cadence Kitchen and assisted in moving furniture, organizing, and cleaning for St. Sylvester. Thank you to our Parent Association and Student Government for helping organize!

  • This week, DePaul Prep faculty and staff attended DePaul University's Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast. The event honored Dr. King’s legacy through a streaming of Storm the Gates, a documentary exploring the fight for access to higher education, and a panel discussion with thought leaders advancing equity, access, and social justice.

  • Last week's sophomore retreat, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (Psalm 139), presented an opportunity to grow in faith, community, and sense of self. After the morning’s small group activities on campus and led by our Junior Peer Leader Team, students went to St. Vincent de Paul church for a Mass, art & architecture scavenger hunt, and Q&A with board member Fr. Chris Robinson, C.M.

  • Carter C. ’25 was recently selected as a winner of the National High School Poetry Contest (Topical Section) for his poem “Are you following me?”. Carter’s poem has been published in the “American High School Poets - Holiday Special 2024” anthology. Less than 2% of the submitted poems were published in this anthology. Carter attributes Ms. Bojorges, IB Coordinator and English Teacher, and Ms. Baik, English Teacher, for helping him grow as a writer!
