🌏 The #Philippines' rich yet turbulent history has positioned the country as a forerunner in adopting the United Nations' concept of #TransitionalJustice. This approach helps societies address past abuses, ensure accountability, serve justice, and achieve reconciliation. In collaboration with the European Union and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), our DT Global Technical Assistance Team is supporting the Philippines' Commission on Human Rights through the Governance in Justice II (GJII-HR) project. We recently held a Transitional Justice Mainstreaming Workshop in Bacolod City, bringing together local government officials and civil society leaders to explore how Transitional Justice can be a tool for national progress. DT Global is Awarded USAID's Climate Ready for Big Ocean State Sustainability (Climate Ready BOSS) 🏝️🌊 Set to mobilize over US$1.05 billion in #ClimateFinance for the #Pacific region over the next 5 years, Climate Ready BOSS will collaborate with 12 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) to enhance their capacity in accessing finance for crucial #ClimateChange adaptation and mitigation projects. 🌿💰 Building on our success with the USAID Climate Ready project, we will continue working with governments, regional bodies, and multi-donor trust funds, with a new focus on partnering with private sector financiers to develop and scale de-risking mechanisms that attract greater private sector investment in critical sectors. Our Frontier Tech Hub has produced its very own Frontier Tech Film Festival! 🍿 🎬 During the 10-week festival, Frontier Tech is showcasing their technologies being used in the real world—in places like Nepal, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania. We are spotlighting one of the highlights from this film festival about how data is being used in Nepal to mitigate the impacts of #ClimateChange. 🌏 Using existing data from satellites in the sky to sensors on the ground, local communities can learn to plan against the floods that impact the Rajapur Municipality.
