As part of this commitment, FMC’s Nordic team introduced farmers to our newly registered products in Sweden – Gajus®, Sentrallas® LQM® and Beflex® 500 SC herbicides, Exirel® insecticides, and several biological solutions – at the prestigious Borgeby Field Days 2024. Modern chemistries and novel biological solutions like these are helping farmers in Sweden – and around the world – manage growing resistance to older technologies while saving valuable time and resources. Ronaldo Pereira, president of FMC, recently spoke at the Global Agribusiness Forum on June 27th in São Paulo, Brazil.    During a panel discussion on the future of agriculture, Ronaldo discussed how technology and data are changing the way growers, crop advisors, and retailers make decisions. Julie DiNatale, Chief Sustainability Officer, addressed public and private sector leaders from around the world during yesterday’s opening session of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations. The message was clear. We still have a long way to go to achieve the SDGs. Last week, FMC celebrated the 30th anniversary of our European Research and Development Center (ERDC), in Nambsheim, France. Since being acquired in 2017, ERDC has been pivotal to our agricultural #innovation and #sustainability efforts.    With 15 growth chambers, 23 laboratories, 3 greenhouses, and 65 hectares of field trials, our team of 25 R&D specialists drives groundbreaking research. ERDC is part of the Regional Development Organization and supports early-stage development of molecules and biocontrol agents. Our team conducts regional resistance monitoring programs across weeds, fungi, and insects and runs lab to field activities from initial screening on European crops to late development and pre-launch field trials for both synthetic and biological products, generating the essential data that drives product launches, sales, and #stewardship. Our latest breakthrough, Isoflex™ active, stands as a testament to this commitment. In the presence of executive vice president and chief technology officer, Seva Rostovtsev and FMC vice president EMEA Sebastià Pons, the gathering featured a rich agenda with presentations, as well as site and lab tours. The event welcomed keynote speakers: Mark S. Brooks, FMC Ventures Managing Director, Cyril Zipfel, professor of Molecular and Cellular Plant Physiology and Marcel van der Heijden, professor of Agroecology and Plant-Microbiome Interactions, both from the University of Zurich and Prof. Dr. Katrin Muff, professor at The Institute for Business Sustainability. Recently, Thaisa Hugenneyer, executive vice president, Integrated Supply Chain, traveled to Mobile, Alabama, to visit FMC’s Mobile. The site, which employs over 150 FMC employees, spans approximately 500 acres and includes two manufacturing units – a lab and a warehouse.
